by pacheko666Hello everyone!!! I recently got this Philips Smart TV model 43PFL5766/F7 E without power. After some troubleshooting, I found a short in the main board, while injecting voltage noticed a component getting hot, removed it and voila! short released. I cant find any information about the component I took off it reads FZN 910. I'm attaching some pictures of the component itself and the board for reference. Any help or suggestion is really appreciated ....Today, 09:49 AM

by gustaznkrHey guys! I've recently found out this amazing forum where people talk and discuss about electronics repairs and i'm actually amazed with everything that here's have to offer.
Oh well, i came here looking for a simple bios file in order to get my main laptop working again, but after a while trying to figure out what the hell was going on, i'm quite concerned that it would be worse than i tought. I was fooling around with Mr. Smokeless's UMAF BIOS mod, looking for a way to enable CSM compatibility and legacy boot on my device.

by markajrHey people, for some time now i've been trying to repair a GeForce GTX 275X gpu from XFX.. old school here. No video output and doesnt appear in the PCI list, not even in Linux (LSPCI) or MATS 396/343 .. I did the basics, on visual inspection it had a series of SMD capacitors (most close to the edges of the board) that had apparently been ripped out. I replaced them all.
I tested for short circuits, all fine.
I measured all voltages and checked, VCORE: 1,1V / VMEM: 2V and all others inductors has voltage.
I reflashed the bios CHIP .. and nothing.. GPU gets...05-23-2024, 08:22 AM -
by ongobongoI am still working on an Lenovo e14 AMD notebook with some problems. The laptop booted normally but had a ton of problems with the soldered ddr4 memory. I tried deactivating the memory via bios, but that didn't work.
As i have a matching donor here, I decided to change the module i suspect to be faulty and exchange it with one of the donors.
Did so, but now the laptop won't boot anymore.
Anyone here who already did that and can comfirn, that exchangeing one module alone would work? Or do I need to exchange all 4 of them to make it work?Today, 02:42 AM -
by foshlandHi to all, i have 2 of those motherboard, same model, same revision, the first one had BIOS corruption and is now working, the other one had BIOS corruption and I programmed them, motherboard starts but I only get 00 error on the 2 digit display, I have all the voltages OK and have tried with the bios chip from the working one, with same result. I have revised the socket and all the pins holes seems OK, If I put the oscilloscope in the BIOS chip I get no communication, just a straight line.
What can I look now?

by md500zz0.8tpitu4y0i8zzI bought a ch341a (I'm waiting for it to arrive) and I noticed that the programmer has a bug that the data pins go to 5v when the VCC pin is at 3.3v (which is the voltage I'm looking for).
Instead of doing the 3.3v mod, I'm thinking of converting the 5v to 3.3v with an 8 channel TXS0108E through the ZIF socket but I don't know if that would work, because it has to circulate voltage and also information.
What I am looking for is something that will convert from 5v to 3.3v but without modifying the ch341a.
I can't buy the ch341a 1.6v that has...05-24-2024, 06:51 PM -
by sam_sam_samThis started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours
After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup
The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old
Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start06-02-2024, 02:30 AM -
by OmronI have a 5W lamp on 12Volts battery, I want it to be half as bright, so I will add a resistor. What resistor should I supply?
A = W = 5 = 0.416mA
_ _
V 12
R = V = 12 = 28.84 Ohms (R) this is resistance of lamp
_ _____
I 0.416
So I will add one resistor 28.84 Ohms
I will have 28.84 + 28.84 = 57.6 Ohms
Or 28.84 + 28.84 = 14.42 Ohms
I don't know if it will work in series or in parallel
voltage would be 6V and amp current mA = 0.208mA We divide everything by two
W= V * I...06-04-2024, 01:58 AM

Hello guys, can someone help me with an eMMC dump for a Sony KDL55W-955B TV, I tried to read the original memory with the RT809H but it shows me that it only has 1888MB even though it should have around 3.8GB. On a new memory it shows me 3776MB. From what I found on the Sony page, the following models could also be compatible:
KDL-65W955B, KDL-55W955B, KDL-60W855B, KDL-50W805B, KDL-42W705B, KDL-32W705B, KDL-48W605B, KDL-40W605B, KDL-60W605B, KDL-55W805B, KDL-42W805B, KDL-48W585B, KDL-32W706B, KDL-42W706B, KDL-42W815B, KDL-42W817B, KDL-50W815B, KDL-55W815B, KDL-42W828B, KDL-42W829B,...Yesterday, 04:13 PM -
by bibinskiiI got this MSI Modern 14 laptop from a friend and it is dead.
The model number is: MSI Modern 14 B11SB (MS-14D2)
He told me that this laptop suddenly died on its own.
No power indicator light. But there's a battery charging light. If I press the power button I notice the charger brick clicking so I suspect something is still going on with the laptop trying to boot.
I do have a multimeter check all resistance seems okay. The fuse is also not shorted.
5VALW is present.
3VALW is present.

by abajorI have this 1707 with the 5V 0A power loop issue on 3 of the jacks.
One of the CD3215C00 had corrosion under one side U3100 to be precise.
This USB jack was drawing ~.2A and not boot looping.
After replacing the CD3215 I am having an odd problem. I can rotate the USB-C and it only works in one orientation. And now it boot cycles, like the other usb channels so I'm part way there.
After looking at the schematic and board view. It makes very little sense that this is happening since they both pin 59 and pin 60 both go to the same places on J3300.
