Re: No backlight on Insignia NS-50DR710NA17, need help with voltages
Having the same problem with the same tv. Flashlight test shows a dim image. Was hard to tell voltage with the tester, so lets go for the backlights. Took the panel off which is glued to the inner bezel and tested the leds individually. My tv had 4 strips with 8 leds each. 1 led was out on 2 of the strips. Just ordered new leds. They about $60

Re: Antenna...
I feel your pain brother. I recently moved from Cleveland to Vermilion, Oh and the reception from Cleveland is weak on most channels. Have tried 4 different outside antennas in the past year and I'm still not satisfied. Last week I took a chance and bought a Clearstream Max2 antenna. ($50 open box on Ebay). Its omni directional, non amplified, indoor or outdoor and had more gain than the other 4. It picked up all major channels out of Cleveland, Toledo and Detroit. I'll live with this one. You can always send back if it dont work out. Also check out Antenna man on...

Re: Samsung TV UN60J620DAF blinking power light
Hey I just got a free UN60FH6200 with the same symptoms as the original poster. Have standby led so naturally I assumed the backlights were bad. Indeed many of the leds were out. So replaced with full set of new led strips and got the same results. Tested the power supply for voltage with the cable disconnected and there was no voltage at the led connection. Finally I saw that these PS go bad often also. So just an FYI on my previous comments

Re: Samsung TV UN60J620DAF blinking power light
Since the standby light is blinking, that tells me that the power supply has standby voltage. Next thing to do unplug the cable that goes from the main board and the power supply. Power up tv and the backlights should come on. If they do not, then I suspect 1 or more bad leds. If thats the issue, I would replace them all.

Re: Samsung UN32EH4003F
Disconnect cable between the main board and power supply. Backlights should come on when power is supplied. If not, backlights are suspect and prolly need replaced. Also check standby voltage on power supply.

Re: Lg55uj620v no backlight
Had the same experience with 50UH5530. All leds light with tester but tv does not come on when powered up. Replaced all leds and tv works fine....

Re: Led tester ,can it be trusted?
I use mine to find the bad leds that dont light up and also check voltages. If i'm that far in the tv, then 9 out of 10 times the entire panel gets new leds anyway. Makes no sense to fix a few leds. You'll be back soon doing it again....Last edited by handsworth; 05-09-2023, 07:30 AM.

Samsung UN55H6350 Logo Only
Just picked up this unit for $10. When turning on, I get the Smart TV logo and then it goes away. Backlights are still lit but no image. Just the blueish gray. I can see all the lights are on from the back. Tv does not respond to remote either. My first thought was bad MB, but they are really expensive. Any thoughts that the T Con is bad? I already tried removing 1 at a time and got same results. Any thoughts before I spring for a new board?

Re: Post your Samsung NU model series backlight failures and diffuser melt-downs here
Great work. I assume you used all the diffuser screens from the 55MU?...
