flash the bios on post no. 2 it is uefi bios to install windows, make sure your cpu is 8265u or it will have an many error on keyboard keys... -
i think this because the unit itself has no tpm device built in, that is why the bios is not detecting the tpm device, this causes the long boot time........Leave a comment:

this is because your cpu is not compatible, your cpu i think is i5 8365u, i recently had 4pcs of this unit and one of them is i5 8365u, and the keyboard also behave like that, but the rest is i5 8265u and works just fine...Leave a comment:

Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook UEFI bios
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅... -

test probe shorted 0.9ohm
test to gnd
pin 1 = 197.8 ohms
pin 2 = gnd
pin 3 = 99.0 ohms
pin 4 = 8.57 kohms
pin 5 = 13.19kohms

pin 1 vin = 16v battery voltage
pin 2 GND
pin 3 = 0.7v
pin 4 = 0.9v
pin 5 out = 3.3v
when laptop off
pin 1 vin = 16v battery voltage
pin 2 GND
pin 3 = 0v
pin 4 = 1.2v
pin 5 = 2.6v
when laptop is off and charger plugged in (normal)
pin 1 vin = 16v battery voltage
pin 2 GND
pin 3 = 0.7v
pin 4 = 0.9v
pin 5 out = 3.3v

the laptop works normaly when using it and charging
the problem is when i shutdown the laptop and not using it, the part in the picture with red circle
becomes so hot you cant even touch it, and it drains the battery quickly
i cant find schematics for this laptop
can someone tell me what is this part so i can replace it...
