one more thing, lenovo have had problems due to the security issue you described in this thread (shorting technique), that is (one thing) why they adapted the design with the newer generation of thinkpads, but there will always be security issues......Leave a comment:

you can reset the password via editing the main bios nvram region activating mpm. there are alot of threads on this forum. pls lets concentrate on thinkpads only here....Leave a comment:
