Samsung UE65KU6400UXXU Should it have Blue LEDs
Samsung UE65KU6400UXXU
Power Supply Board - BN44-00073A (LPF5G-6LM)
Main board BN94-10777A
TV was only showing faint picture at the left and right edges with nothing in the middle.
Took the TV appart and found that the plastic defuser sheet was cracked and burnt on the left and right edges. The LED strips are on the left and right edges. I managed to get a scrap TV with the same size defuser sheet in good condition. The LEDs were blue, all the TVs I've done before have white LEDs so I thought I needed new ones. I ordered some new ones from Aliexpress and they were blue.... -
I went over the transformers again and now it doesn't turn off and on when tapped, so problem appears to be fixed. Thanks for all the help.Leave a comment:

I resoldered all the transformer connections and fets on the heatsink and now the TV stays on and it takes a hard tap with the handle of a screwdriver to make it turn off and on again. I will try doing the diodes next to see if that makes it any better. Didn't want to do too many things a once so I could pinpoint the the bad joint. Thanks for your help RJ. I will report back if I have any success....Leave a comment:

It makes no difference if the backlights are connected or disconnectedLeave a comment:

It's only the 12v that goes on and off all other voltages stay onLeave a comment:

I think I've found the problem area, a tap on the top of the big heat sink with the handle of a screw driver turns the TV off and then on again. Can't see any bad solder joints....Leave a comment:

Just noticed the pinouts are printed on the power board, pins 1 and 2 and 15 and 16 aren't used so I haven't got a short....

Samsung UE46f5000AK Stuck on Standby
When the Main board is disconnected, the back lights are off but tapping on the chassis makes them light up and all voltages are then good. Connecting the main board up makes the TV work normally until moved. LED INERFACE STRIP BN41-01971A has a short on the first 2 pins on the left of the picture, the cable tests good. All the other pins and all LED strips test good. Is there an easy way to fix the short or do I need a new interface. Any help would welcome.

I replaced the CP821 450v 100u cap and the TV worked again. When I switched to a HD channel the tv turned itself off and on again and wouldn't show the HD channel but it worked fine on SD channels. The next day it wouldn't turn on again and has the same flashing standby light problem. Do I need to change the PFC chip SPC7011F as suggested by Satinser?Leave a comment:

Worked first time, but this morning was back to the same problem. If I disconnect the main board I don't get any voltages apart from the standby. If I hold a hairdryer on the CP821 450v 100u cap, the back light comes on and stays on and all my voltages are there. I should have tried this first. I will have to order a new cap because the biggest I've got is only 400v 120uLeave a comment:

Re: Samsung ue46f5000 standby light flashing
I have the same TV Samsung UE46f5000AK with the same symptoms, when I first got the TV, it turned on then off and back on again 3 times and then stayed on until switched off.
The next day it just had a flashing standby light and would not turn on. I held a hairdryer on the CM871 350v 22u cap and then TV turned on after a few seconds and then stayed on until switched off. I haven't got any replacements but I have got some new 450v 22u caps. Can I safely use this as a replacement?

I must have just got lucky because the striping has gone. I must have disturbed something, It has been on for an hour without the fault. I will update if anything changes.Leave a comment:

Removing the left 2 cables cures the striping, pic 1. Pic 2 shows what happens when just the cable with the suspected fault is left unconnected, this also cures the striping. Am I right in thinking the tape method can be used to cure the fault. If so any ideas on which pins to block....

Hitachi 32HE2200 No Wi-Fi
Hitachi 32HE2200 Wi-Fi doesn't work but LAN works. Nothing happens when trying to scan wireless networks, it says please wait and then doesn't do anything. My other TV is working so I don't think there's anything wrong with my connection. I tried a factory reset and a using a working Wi-Fi board 17WFM21 with the same spec as the original but it still doesn't work. Any help would be welcome.
