Hey guys! I've recently found out this amazing forum where people talk and discuss about electronics repairs and i'm actually amazed with everything that here's have to offer.
Oh well, i came here looking for a simple bios file in order to get my main laptop working again, but after a while trying to figure out what the hell was going on, i'm quite concerned that it would be worse than i tought. I was fooling around with Mr. Smokeless's UMAF BIOS mod, looking for a way to enable CSM compatibility and legacy boot on my device.

Hello guys, can someone help me with an eMMC dump for a Sony KDL55W-955B TV, I tried to read the original memory with the RT809H but it shows me that it only has 1888MB even though it should have around 3.8GB. On a new memory it shows me 3776MB. From what I found on the Sony page, the following models could also be compatible:
KDL-65W955B, KDL-55W955B, KDL-60W855B, KDL-50W805B, KDL-42W705B, KDL-32W705B, KDL-48W605B, KDL-40W605B, KDL-60W605B, KDL-55W805B, KDL-42W805B, KDL-48W585B, KDL-32W706B, KDL-42W706B, KDL-42W815B, KDL-42W817B, KDL-50W815B, KDL-55W815B, KDL-42W828B, KDL-42W829B,...Yesterday, 04:13 PM -
by mrsithHi fellow lifesavers.
I have a Samsung washer-dryer WD80N645OOW which died mid-cycle. No response to anything, completely dead.
Checked the socket, the plug fuse, all good. Took it out to examine the boards.
There is a relay clicking on the mainboard. Upon applying power, I can see a diode flashing on inverter board, after a while a diode on main board lits up for a split second, then I can hear a relay clicking. This repeats a few times, then everything dies completely.
I've been trying to examine the main board, but it's a bit difficult becuse...4 Photos06-06-2024, 09:11 AM -
I started troubleshooting this Razer Blade 15 laptop DA560 motgerboard a while back, due to some shorted 19v, 5v, 1v power rails. I fixed some of components and think 19v rail is good, 5v rail is good, 3v is better but not all way i think, and 1v is still bad. At this point the diode reading on these rails are 19v - 0.032v , 5v - 0.167v, 3 - 0.63v and 1v - 0.005v .
When the rails when down, I went down different rabbit holes and seeing chips getting pretty warm on thermal but not blazing hot. Yet there were not any caps or any small components getting blazing hot. Example is EC chip,...1 Photo06-06-2024, 11:35 AM -
by danny1roHey guys, I'm new here and I'd like to say thanks for all the knowledge on this forum first of all.
I am learning electronics repair, been fixing GPUs and laptops mainly until now, and I'm slowly trying to fix desktop motherboards now.
I had a few successes until now, but I messed things up with one of my recent attempts, namely a Gigabyte H410M S2 with which I burned my test cpu.
I had identified a mosfet which was burned, removed it, cheched for shorts and I didn't find any.
When the new mosfet came, I put it on the board and checked for shorts again and didn't find any....Yesterday, 08:38 AM -
by gjgibHi again guys. I have this motherboard that won't show display even tho it was doing it yesterday. I think something could've past away in the circuit.
I'd appreciate if anyone who is used to MOBO LCD voltages and circuits could enlighten me since this is the first time I have to deal with it.
I'm missing +3VLCD.

by sam_sam_samI found two capacitors on the board and one of the leads on one capacitor had bad soldering joint and the other joint connections not much better and there were several soldering joints that way to much flux around the joint redid several of them
The capacitors were a non brand that I did not recognize they got replaced and now it does not oscillating between relay but what concerns me a little bit is when the voltage is a little bit low the output voltage is around 130 volts and then drops down to 115 volts this happens around 105 to 108 volts if remember correctly

by martin86Hi,
i had a HP 640 G8 with a DA0X8AMB8E0 Board. I would Flash the BIOS, but i used a CH341A Programmer with 5V instead auf 3,3. Then I thought the BIOS was now defective. I have already replaced it with a new one (flashed the same BIOS).
With the new chip, the notebook has the same error. The charging port lights up once and then goes out again. The notebook does nothing more.
I iced the board with a cooling spray to possibly find a chip that gets hot or has a short circuit. Unfortunately, I didn't find any. I suspect a fuse might have blown. Does anyone...06-07-2024, 02:47 AM -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. by pacheko666Hello everyone!!! I recently got this Philips Smart TV model 43PFL5766/F7 E without power. After some troubleshooting, I found a short in the main board, while injecting voltage noticed a component getting hot, removed it and voila! short released. I cant find any information about the component I took off it reads FZN 910. I'm attaching some pictures of the component itself and the board for reference. Any help or suggestion is really appreciated ....Today, 09:49 AM

by ongobongoI am still working on an Lenovo e14 AMD notebook with some problems. The laptop booted normally but had a ton of problems with the soldered ddr4 memory. I tried deactivating the memory via bios, but that didn't work.
As i have a matching donor here, I decided to change the module i suspect to be faulty and exchange it with one of the donors.
Did so, but now the laptop won't boot anymore.
Anyone here who already did that and can comfirn, that exchangeing one module alone would work? Or do I need to exchange all 4 of them to make it work?Today, 02:42 AM -

by 90NinetyDisclaimer Firstly I am by no means expert and this is still a learning experience , I buy broken stuff , with the intention to fix or learn something by failing.. I wanna break this into a few sections, please feel free to mention the section if replying , to assist me on getting a better understanding
Part 1 , identifying Rails .. So for the record , I understand on NVIDIA cards there are several Rails. Along with their Supposed Voltages ( Voltage depends on age/ generation )
