Trying to understand which properties of circuit affect triac phase range, is it possible to control near whole period, or it have some limitations - on net found a couple circuit, that claims almost full control, but in the past I build some simple circuit and remember that it do only half of control over triac?...Today, 09:00 AM

I get backlights that stay on not there is no image. The tv does not automatically power on when plugged in either which I generally see happen when there is a fault. It responds as it should to the power button.
I checked the test points on the TCON and I have proper voltages except for at 1P15V. I don't know if that is supposed to be 15V or 5V, but either way I only get 1.134V on that point. I have 12V, 8V, VCC, and a small amount on the CKV point.
I tried heating up the SoC on the main board but that made no difference. Disconnecting either ribbon from the TCON also...Yesterday, 08:55 PM -
Hey everyone, I have an LG 65uq7050zud with a black picture but backlight is on. I tested the measurements from the PSU and they check out. I can’t find any service manual so I’m suspecting the main board. Any advice before I replace the board? Found them for around $60...Today, 12:10 PM

It's one of those fan-in-handle things that has the 230V element in the handle. Quecoo briefly sold a [URL="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004884759470.html"]similar unit [/URL]but discontinued it.. maybe they couldn't find solutions to these problems. I bought a T12-958 recently with an M8 handle and until now it has worked very well. The tip wasn't earthed but that was easily resolved.
Now, whenever it is switched on, it heats up to about 70*C then shows an [INVER] error on the screen and stops. In order to fix it I have to either unplug and re-plug the handle, or unplug and re-insert the tip from the handle. While doing that it changes to [ERROR], then it finishes heating up and works perfectly. Until it's turned off, after which it will show [INVER] again next time it is turned on.

I think this has been answered but I couldn't find the thread.
Someone asked me if it would harm a capacitor (10F [not a typo], 24v) if it was operated on nothing more than 12v.
So, I ask... Does it change any of the capacitor's characteristics/parameters/? in any way if it is never operated near rated voltage?
If operated for years at 1/2 rated voltage, does it accept full rated voltage like it would if it had always been operated at the higher voltage?

Guys I have set top box which has no power on in specific case. When I insert antenna plug which has 12V on it because of dB gain device on top of antenna, device if its turned off, it will not turn on.
After I need to open the case and short + and - on ABS10 chip and after that device will turn on, without antenna plugged in, after its turned on I can plug in antenna and it will work fine, but I notice there is some extra heat inside the unit.
Is this chip okay? Rectifier bridge ABS10 JQC I don't think there should be connection like additional diode between plus and minus...Today, 03:09 AM -
Hello, I've been googling for some pointers on this but couldn't find anything that applies to this board. I have an Acer A315-22 (board NB8607) with faulty RAM between 142 and 174mb. I just wanted to disable the onboard RAM altogether, but this one doesn't seem to have any memory down ID resistors or strap in order to disable it. I'm attaching the schematic I found, the boardview for it also seems to be available somewhere in this forum but I still don't have a use for it lol.
How would I disable the RAM on this PC? Thanks for the help.
