Asus GL502VMK BIOS Lock
Hey Gurus
Kinda as the title says, some dufus managed to drop a password in said bios & I'm running around in circles to clear it. FWIW, I've included the 8MB - 64MB & Asus' support site bios-zzzz. Seeing as I'm not a code guy in the slightest, I could sure use the help.
I thank all you MENSA Society members upfront for your help in my silliness.
Asus GL502V (but the board has GL502VMK silk screened on it, ssssoooo...?)[model numbger bellow the scan=tag = GL502VM-BI7N10 {insert my confused face}

Hey boss
This particular code didn't work. Still getting the "password" dance.
Is there a CMOS/BIOS chip I'm missing here? The aforementioned Winbonds control different things (1 is a APU/GPI bio, the other seems like the correct one), so I'm not sure if I'm glossing over a step or.....
Thanks for any insight you've got....

Hey gurus
I need help clearing the bios from a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen Edition), la-k454p version 1, ST=1W7ZTN3, EX number 4125128655. I've done the Dell shuck-n-jive & couldn't find the S# to save me, so, no clue. There's a DP/N 8CK0N A00. And, lastly Reg Type No. P105F004. Past that I'm clueless.
I'd sure appreciate the help getting this thing unlocked & this client out of my hair.
Thanks bunches you guys....

Inspiron 545 DG33M06 BIOS
Hey folks...
I've tried to no avail to extract the A12 bios upgrade from the enclosed file. I'm trying to do the LGA771 to LGA775 mod/upgrade on an old Inspiron, but as you can guess...
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch!...

Re: asus rog zephyrus g14 ga401iv bios
You're the best Hardware1!
I'll re-burn the chips & see how it goes. I'll let you know if I succeeded in burning down the house or not.
Thanks again

SMD
Yes I have a backup of both BIOSs, but they might be corrupt (thus my song & dance about being confused.
I've included them here. Hopefully, you (or the other coding deities out there) can help me out here.
Thanks a bunch for the reply...

asus rog zephyrus g14 ga401iv bios
Hey folks
On today's lunch menu, I have an Asus ROG Zephyrus g14 ga401iv bios I extracted from the Asus website in hopes of loading onto the said computer, but as we know about "the best-laid plans"...
Apparently, this is one of those newer BIOSs that's split between 2 separate chips. Seeing that each chip is basically 8mb apiece, I haven't the slightest idea where to slice this thing in order to get it on the proper IC.
Could one of you BIOS-HeX editing gods out there give me a hand?
Thanks a bunch...

Re: a1342 820-2567-A bios lock removal
Hey folks
I never got another response to this post that physically worked, so I went through another avenue & got this one that is completely clear and free.
THE ONLY THING IS - YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER using your favorite hax editor.
I know some other folks out there have been looking for this bios in particular.
It is literally for the A1342, 820-2567-A (notice the "A" in there). This, obviously, won't work on the same year Pro & to my knowledgeDoesn't...

a1342 820-2567-A bios lock removal
Greeting folks...
Well, in true old fart fashion, it seems I have a client who put a boot lock (padlock on the initial boot screen) on his ancient Macbook. I've done the forum search & Google Ranger attack & have found nothing with regard to working/clean bios to redo the job.
The original offloaded bios is attached. Hopefully, one of you code-reading/writing Gods can figure this one out for me.
Thank you so much in advance. I just know there are many of you folks that just love 15 year old tech. (sarcasm, It drives me nuts having to...Last edited by lordrussell; 02-06-2023, 09:49 AM.

Re: Request Pavilion DM1z-4100 BIOS
FWIW folks... Here is the BIOS I found for the laptop mentioned above.
It's dated 26Feb2013 & I'm not really finding anything newer. Maybe somebody will find it useful...

Re: Request Pavilion DM1z-4100 BIOS
Sorry for the late reply...
I can do the update through HP's Windows installer or with an EZP2019 programmer. It's just that this model number doesn't want to coincide with anything on their support page.
Luckily nothing is locked out or passworded. I'm just trying to get the "last gasp" out of this laptop before I have to force my client into upgrading to something made in the last 3-4 years.
Thanks again with helping me
