    Sony XBR-65X900E Static Lines

    Hey everyone, I have a Sony Xbox-65x900e with static lines. I’m assuming either the panel or t-con. Any suggestions before I start diagnosing? Service manual says T-con, panel, or B* Board (which I have no idea what that is)

      Xbox...ahah.. is it LCD, OLED? Has it good sound when RF input is present? It sounds mainly bad main board, do a screen self test with 12v jumper from PSB and MB lvds out detached

          Haha thats blasphemy! So I spoke to one of my guys in France and he stated it was FRC chip, I took a quick look at the service manual and I think its the MFC11. I found a listing on ebay that was a repair service for the main board and it had the picture I posted. I need more equipment for the SPI to flash these IC's but I dont have the income or time. So I'm going to replace the mainboard and I'll post my results.

              I have a Sony KD-49XG8196 that I am hoping a Sony KD-43XG8196 main board will resolve my issues with the TV. The TV's both use the same TCON pcb board a 6870C-0761A and use the same main board model (1-982-626-41). Now will I have to modify the eeprom on the TCON board for the Sony 49inch screen TV to work with the TV as it thinks its a 43inch screen and may not communicate properly with the TCON?
              If I do what bits will I have to change in the eeprom? I am guessing the model number of the TCON board?
              Thanks in advance for any help in my quest to get this TV operational again.

              Hello everyone,

              I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

              Sony KD-75XF9005 grey Picture but Sound. TCON or panel?

              Hi,

              i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
              Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
              If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
              Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
              With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

              Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
              Or is it always a bad/shorted...

              Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen

              Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated.
