no, i know about that thread.
i did a pretty deep search for these scopes online.
Metrix are bitches - nothing downloadable at all!

Wow what a nightmare to recap this device
Do you have it working correctly now or do you still have to do more work on it

it's been in bits about 5 times.
my fault - i should have just done all the caps and cleaned all the front switches in one go!

          it's 99.9% now.
when i got it it was dead,
so i stripped and cleaned it and replaced the caps in the psu.
then it ran but was jumping all over the screen, so i stripped and cleaned the front panel.
then it was o.k. but one channel seemed off - so i stripped it and recapped the whole baseboard.
finally i recapped the digital board just because i was getting pissed off tearing down and re-assembking it.

now the switch on the pot for manual timebase override is touchy, but thats sealed.
so i need to ignore it or replace the pot.

other than that i think it's good now.
original caps were 98% MARCON junk btw!

if anybody finds this thread in 2030 or something - here is a gift
the temptation to try to remove and read the pld's and mcu are pretty strong, but i'm resisting for now
