    Dead LA-H323P (no light) - HP 15-DW
    by Patan
    Need help here...
I'm new on the forum and I'm not professional in electronics so i ask sorry in advance for eventual errors...
As title says, i have a LA-H323P dead.

    Now, little background.
The computer was working fine, just seems that the cable of screen was dying because it had the classic color problem, sometimes green, sometimes violet, sometimes perfect, but anyway working.
When i opened it the battery was so fat that was seriously near to explode.
So i removed the battery... and turned on the notebook... that was, again, working perfectly fine....

    PSU: 17PW04-1
    MB: 17MB62-1
    Symptoms:
    - Blue LED constantly blinking when connected to AC.
    - Only sigh of life is beeping when touching the capactive buttons on the front.

    Diagnostics so far:
    Checked the PSU output voltages:
    12V present
5V present altought its only around 4.2V
    3V is present measured 3.4V.

I check TP 202 which is for the short circuit protection: 0.606V on diode mode

Since I met with some vestel models before with similiar symptoms...

Help Identifying a Tantalum Capactior!!!!! 68 C79 Please help!!
    by jrutla2
Hello BadCaps Forum! I'm new to the group and hope you guys can help me with something. I have a 2017 Apple imac A1419 board # 820-00609-A that i'm trying to identify a capacitor failure on. The capacitor is a tantalum 68 C79. See pic attached. I've tried to figure this out using the web and unfortunately can't find the information. Can someone tell me what the Capacitance value, voltage, etc is for these 68 C79 caps are? Where could i pick up a replacement? Thanks in advance!!...

mac book air a1466 emc 2632
    by navigatore58
    Good morning.
I need help. My old mac book air model A1466 EMC 2632 serial C02M6TLEF5V7 is password locked on the firmware. I tried to make some attempts with the ch341a programmer but, not being an expert, I can't solve it. The programmer tells me that the chip is a 25 spi flash winbond w25q64fv. I didn't understand how to remove psw. I worked on the disassembled board. How do I know if it's ok?
Thanks for your help. I managed to save a copy of the bin file but the post won't let me load it with a bin extension.

ASUS ROG STRIX GL702VSK no power issue PQ8901, PQ8900?
    by ub6ib969
    Hi,

    working on a ASUS ROG STRIX GL702VSK 60NB0DZ0-MB1260 that does not power on. At the PQ8900 PIN2 (P_CHG_ACMOS_G_20) I am receiving 24.7V and PIN1 (P_CHG_ACMOS_S_20) 20V, however when I place the PQ8901 P_CHG_ACMOS_G_20 it drops 0V. I don't have the replacement mosfets ( N-MOSFET QM3058M6AC PRPAK5*6
UBIQ) however will any N-channel mosfet with similar parameters work ? I also found that PCI8703, PCI8701 are shorted. any help would be grateful.

Pioneer amplifier A-205 Relay not clicking after a mistake i made
    by GraphicMan
    Hello guys
Because the unit is old (but only occasionally used) the loudness button causes some noise due to bad contact,
sprays did not work, so i decided to solder the pins that it connects on the pcb at the on (loudness on) position
i did that and it worked fine, i know from the bottom of my heart that the switch connects 2 pins and also d/c other 2 pins
on every position it have (6 pin switch), so i was curious what would happen if i clicked the switch off while the pins are soldered at on (so basiclly on and off at the same time), when i did so the sound is gone, nothing...
