Funny thing is that the other test thingy activated with a Win10 Home digital license. It's never been like that, only Win10 education all time, unless from the Fujitsu factory before the SCCM-install.

That's what I thought. This particular machine is not going to be Win10, but I have over 10 MoBo's+ SSD's with installed Win10 for spare.
What is the digital license? Something which can be unplugged in the year 2525 by turning of the (stupid) cloud system?...

These dump-salvages needed some work: LUxman L-435 has the source selector replaced with a relay card, and the Sony TA-F170 needed a new volume potentiometer. Didn't fit until I chopped two PCB's.2 Photos

How it's possible that the three other Win10's activated today like years ago? The Dell disc has mysteriously always activate the 10 after upgrade......Last edited by Xenon-Codex; 04-20-2024, 01:19 PM.

Is something ended? This is a Fujitsu P510 with Win7 (dell oem) in it, upgraded to Win10 like all of my computers. P520 and P556 (which are newer) worked today. It says "no key found from this machine". Other 5 are working but installed ~2 years ago.
Stupid facebook said this pic is a violation of copyright and censored it.1 Photo

Luxman T-230 tuner missing stereo
I got it partly working, but it mostly stays mono, or goes very distorted stereo if I turn the separation trimmer more. What else needs to be adjusted? Mono sounds clean. I think it may have cold joints as the L-channel drops also off at times.1 Photo

Volume potentiometer loudness tap bypass?
I salvaged a Sony TA-F170 with broken volume potentiometer. It has a special pot with a loudness tap in the middle, of course not available anymore.
Is the loudness somehow possible to get to work, at least constant instead of variable? I have a regular potentiometer which works, but the loudness does not.1 Photo

Technics SL-PG420A.CDM4/19 whining sound with CD-R
It works but a loud whine appears with CD-R discs, but only in the middle of the disc, beginning and the end are silent. Silver cd's do not whine.
It's still present with a different clamp. The player is Technics SL-PG420A. Blue capacitor in the laser circuit is replaced already.1 Photo

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
Again stereo equipment, a freebie Mitsubishi. I need a schematic, hifiengine does not have it. It's a DA-U56X....

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
This Luxman is saved from the dump. Needed a bit acting, and the "watcher" went away so I could save this. It's missing the flat cable between the know and the selector switch. These Alps parts are common, so maybe I can find a spare part. The thing itself is working....

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
This Pioneer was "fixed" with a piece of cardboard to press the plate. But the plate was not perfectly seated and then the player did not read any disc.
Not even the tray belt needed replacement. It also lifts the laser unit to read the disc....

Re: win7 home iso? can I get 10?
I have a Dell OEM Win7 disc, with it I can install/upgrade Win10 and activate it. Any other disc will not work. Funny thing is that I have only Fujitsu and HP machines.

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
Two Rotel pieces, but I got a bleeding wound in my arm... Both are faulty, but will power on. Probably the deck needs a new belt, and the amp something else as it does not produce sound. It has separate transistors at the output, so it's easier to fix....

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
Those were the upper end of the Finnish hifi in the late 70's. Seas and Audax elements. Seas changed the dust cap (in ~1977) but the model is the same. The saved unit is the only in mint condition(!), even the grille cloth is like new....

Revisit at the dump was perfectly success. Now I have four of them again (one was sold for parts)....

These two working things from the dump. Need to try to save the Salora speakers which were there. They are worth of at least $100....

Fujitsu Amilo A7620 Bios wait timeout?
The freebie laptop started to give error "BIOS wait EC input buffer empty fail (timeout). What does it mean, empty CMOS battery?
It boots if I press F1, the Bios also works, but it hangs for 1 second about 10 times a minute. So does the touchpad in Windows, USB-mouse works normally.

Re: best cheap/free scores 1.1
Slightly damaged Onkyo TX-904, and a dead Fujitsu Amilo A7620. Fujitsu came to life after clock battery disconnect for a while....
