Short those signal cannot kill your CPU but these are too small so you may ended up shorting other signals that can kill your CPU. So be careful....

2KB EEPROM just for serial, model, bios password. Laptop still can turn on without those informations. You can later program it with U1 tool...

Just replace the MEC. This MEC doesnt have any firmware inside. The firmware for EC chip is inside BIOS. Check your bios with uefitool you will see a region call EC....

Try to plug usbc cable to the thunderbolt port nearby. The laptop may turn on...

MEC1503 you can buy it on aliexpress. Just replace it and rewrite serial number, product id with Lenovo tool....

Base on datasheet there is 2KB ROM inside which is used to store password and other informations like serial number, model, .... You can use lenovo tool to dump this rom content but cannot reach the part that store password....

Check your battery also. Sometime not genuine battery can cause CPU limit. Check your CPU clock in Task Manager....

Try to measure EDP_INT_AUX_P and EDP_INT_AUX_N signals in Diode mode. I think you will need to change U9850. I got the same problem in few A2141s.
