dead HP Pavillion laptop 15 eg0028nl
Hi, I have this laptot, it is not powering on. Motherboard model is DA0G7HMB8G0 REV : G
When I connect the charger the charging light comes on, but nothing else. When I push the power button the led on the same key blinks for a few times.
No fan spinning, the 19v is present, I checked a few things with the boardview and the diagrams (both available in another topic in this forum). Maybe it's helpful, no +3V_SPI voltage present at pin 8 of bios (U5600).
Any hint? Thanks in advance... -
dead HP Spectre x360 convertible
Hi, model is 13-aw2024na , motherboard DAX3ACMBAF0 REV:F
it is completely dead, no charging light. Type-C usb meter shows only 5v and 0,5 amp current draw.
the only heatspots I can see with thermal camera are in the picture.

hi, I have this Lenovo ideapad 330S-15ARR laptop that was not working, black screen and fan spinning. I made a backup of current corrupted bios (attached file) and then flashed the bios file from second post and now it is working, is it possible to have the corrected bios files with missing infos?

once I cleared the short (solder blob), PL101 is no longer shorted (or low resistance). of course the contact on the right is shorted.. PIN 2 of PJP103 is shorted or very low resistance. I'll keep searching....

I confirm, it is a solder blob. I cleared it with braid and measured, left side is open circuit, right side is 2 ohm...

Maybe it is useful infomation...: when I check PU102 in diode mode both PIN2 LX_5V and PIN8 +5V_ALWP sound like shorted to ground and 6 ohm to ground in resistance mode...Leave a comment:

Dell Latitude 5420 no power
Hi, I have this laptop that suddenly died. Motherboard is GDF40 LA-491P REV:2.0

When I connect the type-c charger with a meter, no battery connected, I see only 5v and 2 amps current draw and these components quickly get very hot under thermal camera: UA1, PU601 and PU102
Any suggestion? -
I've just tested with different ram sticks .. it booted correctly to windows login, than black screen again. And now still same problem.. fans spinning for three seconds, keyboard lit and nothing else. I think that maybe bios programming would not be useful with intermittent boots..but I could try.Leave a comment:
