I ask help for the same model 5502 , MB MKB N TGL 8L MB 19861-1.
Initially the laptop had a black screen issue, all voltages rised and were good but there was no video output, nor from the internal display and from the hdmi.
Without the battery, the status led inside the dc jack was lit for 8 seconds then faded out, keyboard backlight and capslock led were lit for 10 seconds and the system rebooted automatically every 10 seconds , the fan was off until the cpu reached the threshold temperature, then spinned normally.
I tried to correct the bios files, downloading...

Ah ok, I understand, since I didn't find the feature mentioned in the comparison chart (between paid and free version) I thought it was available in both versions.

Hi to all, and thank you Paul for this great tool, I've discovered it just 2 days ago and it's a nice stepup from OpenBoardView
I don't know if anyone uses it, but just in OpenBoardView there's a nice function that lets you copy to clipboard the complete pinout and netnames associated with a part, but in FlexBV I don't see that "copy" button next to a part button in the side panel.
Is there a miss in the V5.0624 I've downloaded or can't I see it?

after almost a month I bought a usbc meter and I'm going to attach two photos I took when it's connected to the mainboard (with battery and all flats connected)
As you can see, current absorption difference is around 7 mA, but D+ and D- are quite different, does this suggest anything?...Leave a comment:

I'm sad but at the moment I don't own any usbc meter, I was thinking about buying one soon because usbc-things have become quite popular...

a close friend of mine gave me this machine, she told me that the last days the fan was going high and that it was heating up too much for the usual things, and that suddenly one morning it didn't start anymore .
I opened it and inspected carefully with a high magnifying lens, found no oxydized spots but a short on PPBUS_G3H , then a blown U6903.
I changed U6903 with a new one, PPBUS_G3H became 558 (measuring with red probe to gnd , and black on F7000) , PP3V3_G3H_RTC 463.
Now when I plug the usbc cable (original Apple 61W power supply), nothing starts automatically,... -
Huawei Matebook D14 - NbB-WAH9Q - Shorted DrMOS MP86945A - DAH98NMB8B0
Hi to all, this laptop came with no signs of life, no battery chargin and no start.
I found that the main 19v rail was almost shorted, it measured around 7 Ohms , then searching better I found a shorted MP86945A DrMOS (between Drain and Source) that converts the 19 volts into the PCH core voltage...
I was going to chuck the towel, but I had a new same DrMOS then decided to solder it in, then I connected the power jack and the system now powers almost on, all the voltages rise but the CPU core and VGFX core.
Externally I only see that keyboard backlight lights up for 2 seconds,... -

Dear colleagues,
I've entered the repair of the chromebook machines just one month ago and I've found some significant differences from the classic laptops or macbooks, so I'm searching some advices.
The owner of this chromebook gave it to me after it has been left flooded by water for almost a week, so chances of repair were not so high, the mainboard was oxidyzed in many spots but I made a nice cleaning, resoldering and component replaging work and now it is almost working.

Hello kike1234, it's really a good news that you solved the problem with a reflow of the CPU!
One year ago I heated both CPU and GPU to test if it could be a cold solder joint under them but the board didn't gave any better results, I will try to reach for that machine and reflow the CPU and hopefully we could mark as solve this mistery, thanksLeave a comment:

Yes, I've already done what you said, I've unsoldered the shorted DrMOS, gave tension to the mb and it seems to work, every (but VGFX) voltage rise but capslock blinks as 5 long + 3 short, and no video output.

I didn't even mention resistances measures on the main coils, but I got (diode voltage drop mode) :

Hi to all,
the owner of this machine gave it to me after having opened it to take off the dust from the inside, telling me that after that it didn't start anymore.
I found that one of the DrMOS (AOZ5016QI) on the CPUCORE was shorted between VIN and VSWH, and that one of the two n-mos connected to the power jack was shorted aswell.
I unsoldered the two shorted components and verified that there were no other short circuits, then decided to power the mainboard, firstly with the lab power supply, then with its original HP 200w charger, but the behaviour is the same, the board starts... -

Hi,
after many days I've back up the ssd and made firstly a Revive then a Restore of all the system , the operations completed successfully without errors but still the display doesn't come on...
Connecting to an external hdmi monitor, graphic is clear, no problems or glitches, and still in general settings I can see both monitors connected to the system, the external tv and the internal Liquid Retina XDR.
When I close the lid, in general settings internal display fades out and the external tv is still there.

No, the external display is not affected in any way byt the closing of the lid assembly. both if the sensor is connected and if it is disconnected, the external display remains always on.

Dear collegues,
the owner of this machine brought it to me saying that suddenly one day the display didn't turn on anymore, he tought that all the machine was damaged but it turned out that the MacOS starts good and stays on, and that connecting it to an external display it works without problems.
If you take a look into general settings, you can also see that the internal retina display is recognized as connected by the main board but for an unknown reason it doesn't turn it on.
I've tried to put a bright light towards the screen but I can't see anything, any shadows or apple...
