by nobbnobb1I am trying to get a set of Creative T40 computer speakers to work again of which I believe the problem is bad caps (470uF @ 35V). So I get a generic set off Aliexpress. The brands are meaningless, but if anyone cares it's a "Chongx"
When they arrive, to my surprise it's much smaller than the originals. These are 8mm x 15mm whereas the OE is 10mm x 20mm. Unfortunately my meter does not test capacitance but I'm guessing there's no way this meets spec at 80% the size.
Thoughts? Is it still worthwhile or safe to try and install these to see if...-

by valente222Hello everyone. I have this board from a colleague, with a short in O2U2 GPIO, it was replaced. But when you turn it on it turns the fans at times as if it wants to display video on the screen, but the loop restarts. If someone has a backup it would be great.

by Drake328Hello,
I recently got a PS5 with an EMD-032 board and someone before me “tried” to change the HDMI port. Unfortunately, a few SMD components are now missing, see image. the top one should be a 100nF cap. but what is the lower (0Ohm resistance?)

by abajorSo we have a DELL XPS 9520 a woman broke her screen and needed an immediate replacement so we removed bitlocker and put her Drive in an Asus TUF gaming laptop, everything is hunky dory.
We happen to have another DELL XPS 9500 screen that is compatible with the 9520, so tried installing new SSD's and doing a clean windows 11 install.
During formatting the installer can't find the Intel drivers for the nvme controller?
I spend a long time figuring out how to extract the drivers from the official dell installer downloads tried different versions, was able to load the drivers...04-21-2024, 06:11 AM -
by JupTecHallo zusammen!

by jkrunsHello everyone,
This is my first post after browsing this wonderful treasure trove of knowledge for many, many evenings. I've decided to learn how to fix these things, properly.
My patient is an A2338 Macbook Pro M1 (late 2020).
It had some corrosion around JT710 and JT700 caused by liquid spill, as well as against the protective barrier around the USB-C chips UF000 and UF100. So I took the main board out and cleaned it with a toothbrush and alcohol, then with alcohol in an ultrasonic cleaner. Cleaned the touchbar flex connectors as well. The board looks...04-22-2024, 06:45 AM -

by tec3000Hi community! Germany calling I am wondering if you guys can help me out. I have an issue with my Sony LED TV. I've been told this is a good place to ask. Thanks for anyone who will reply and offer advice. Appreciated!
I have a KD-65X9005A Sony 4k LED TV. For a few weeks I've got this problem where I turn on the TV and within a few seconds the TV starts getting darker until it shuts itself off and I get the 4 blinking error code. HOWEVER there is one exception: Whenever I switch to the i-Manual, a full screen on-screen instruction manual, the TV never turns off. I tested for hours!...03-20-2024, 07:29 AM -

by michdundeeHi all,
I'm facing a issue... hope you could help me. I have a T-CON board BN41-02112A from Samsung 55inch Curve TV.
I have just only 2 status blue LEDs ON since LED3 is off. I have tried to test some test points but VON is NOT OK very close to 0V. Is there someone that can help me on the debugging the issue? I'm supplying the board from an external 12V voltage source.
Thank you in advance.

Michele

by trepachkaHello,
I have this Thinkpad T15p Gen 3 laptop. It starts normally with keyboard lighting up, I can hear the fan starts spinning, amps quickly reach about 1.7A without the battery, CPU gets hot. However, it is not posting.
I suspect the BIOS is corrupted. I am providing 2 BIOS files as I see 2 BIOS 256Mb chips. I am also providing a photo of the chips' location on the motherboard.
Model: Thinkpad T15p Gen 3
S/N: PF-45G6VM
Type: 21DA-000PUS
Motherboard: NM-E221

by fedeRaiderHello everyone
My TV no longer shows signs of life, but if I unplug the motherboard, the backlight works.
I bought a CH341A USB Programmer, and this is my dump (BN41-02568B):
Could someone help me fix it?...Yesterday, 06:05 AM -
Hi, all. I have an Asus Rog Strix GL703G. Yesterday I took it apart to clean out the dust and redo the thermal. Unfortunately, when I attempted to pull the battery, the metal retaining clip (unable to retain itself due to genius engineering) popped off and shorted across the capacitors behind it. Now I have no response from the laptop with or without the battery.
I'm hoping maybe someone can help me read the board and figure out what potentially shorted. I have a soldering station, I can run hot air, I have a multimeter, I just have no idea how to trace or measure the power circuit....03-08-2024, 04:35 PM
