I reflashed the bios. No change, unfortunately.

Hello, I have this Yoga 910-13IKB that is not posting.
Upon start the keyboard backlight comes in, I can hear the fan briefly start, the amp reader is showing about 0.7A, then after a few seconds the amp reader goes to 0.1A, the keyboard backlight turns off and the cycle repeats.
I scoured badcaps for bios files and already tried like like 5 or 6 of them.
The most promising bios files made the startup without any cycling: the keyboard lights up and both fans run steady. The amp meter shows 0.7A and it stays that way forever.
But still no post. I thought perhaps...

I should be getting its twin next week in working condition. I will extract the bin files and if successful I will post the files here. May be someone will find them useful.

I reflashed both chips. Computer is behaving the same way as originally. It continuously tries to boot but no post. The CPU gets pretty warm, the fan spins. Computer also responds to "D" key test by flashing different colors of rainbow.
No post, unfortunately.

Hello, I have this Latitude 5440 that is not starting. When power button is pushed, the keyboard lights up and the fan begins to spin. The amps go up to about 0.7A. Computer is not charging. This pattern repeats and the computer is not posting.
I applied the patch from post 7 and now computer is charging but still not posting. The keyboard lights up and the fan begins to spin, this time only 2 times. Then, nothing.
I suspect the bios in this computer is corrupted. Could someone, please take a look at the bin files and clean them up?

I would run memory test to make sure your RAM is fine. Then, I would attempt to do built-in hardware troubleshooting by hitting F12 key on start.
My only experience with infinite loops has been involved CPU issues, in particular one or more pins losing their bond with the motherboard. In that case reflowing the CPU may do the trick.
I doubt the issue is with the graphics card.

Here is a bin file that has been a life-saver in the past several times. It was extracted from a G15 5515 machine with a R7 CPU and RTX 3060 graphics card. Last usage: a similar model came with 2 ember/1 white light flashing pattern indicating CPU issue.
After applying this bin file, computer booted just fine. It will ask you to type the service tag#.
Let me know if this bin works for you....

I didn't realize the solution was already in the thread. I applied the patch and the password is gone. Thank you.

Does the SSD drive contain Windows OS on it or are you trying to install a fresh copy of Windows?
I have a good bios file from a Dell G15 5510 machine. I can upload it here if you ask for it. I believe 5510 and 5515 are similar.

I just recently had the same issue. A ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 motherboard (NM-C881) was completely fried and I locally acquired a ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5 motherboard (also NM-C881) to replace it. Upon installing the new motherboard I started getting Error 2203 as well.
By unplugging the cables from the motherboard one at a time, the error message disappeared when I unplugged the "webcam+mic" cable. Unplugging the screen cable did nothing. By doing a little research I found out that while both laptop models are pretty much the same except for the Yoga being 2-in-1, they use...

Yes. I reflashed the bios chip with the original content and the computer booted with the admin password again. I then located this particular bios file, had the bios chip reflashed and the computer booted without the password. I just had to update the service tag as it was empty per instructions.
No worries. Thanks for your assistance.

I tried many bin files. The one that actually worked is located in post # 169:

Ok, I reflashed the bios. On 1st boot computer fan runs at full spead. On 2nd boot the keyboard backlight comes on along with the charging light. Then, the whole thing turns off and repeats the cycle.
I soldered the original bin and the computer boots with the password. Can you rework your bin file for me to try again?
Thanks.

I am not sure what happened. I reflashed the bios chip and computer is not switching to 20V. I checked the issue and PL201 coil (part of PU200) is measuring only 20 ohms which indicates a short to me. I will address this first, then report whether the password is gone.

Hello, I have a Legion 5 17ACH6H computer that was not posting. Suggestion by SMDFlea from Post # 19 to reflash the bios didn't work for me. Computer was still doing the same thing: keyboard lights up briefly, I can hear the fans begin to spin, nothing much after that.
What worked for me is the following: I extracted the bios file from a Legion 5 15ACH6H (smaller twin) I had available to me and this computer is booting just fine now. But it now carries the serial number from the other computer.
Can someone help me and fix the original bios? This way this computer carries...

Computer is drawing 5V 0A. Yes, I was referring to UB9. I will also transfer UB4 for good measure from a donor board. I will let you know what happens.
