philips 47pfl6158k/12 image faded away, sound still coming from TV
Hi, my TV image started showing those lines and the image faded away, but sound is still coming from it, what could be the cause and is it fixable? I thought it could be the tcon board but I red on the internet that it could be a failing panel
I cant tell if it does anything, the LED on my USB stick is certanly not blinking, just at the beginning when the tv turns on, it is correctyl formated to fat32 in MBR mode, but the stripes on the tv do get wider over time, I really hope its just the tcon board and not the panel itself :/

I had two Philips today. One had similar symptoms to yours. I recovered the picture by blocking pins 3 to 14 on the left hand ribbon with a piece of Sellotape 7mm wide.
The second one had lines appearing across the picture and the same method cured that one too.
I'm not sure your problem was tcon, that series has common problems at the processor solder joints, try to heat a bit the cpu and see if more problems comes..
try first with firmware upgrade_loader ,use USB stick fat 32 MBR mode... very important MBR mode
Additional information: Standard this tv is not an Android, that upgrade_loader only works when there is an upgraded mainboard inside. The original mainboard has a white ceramic cooling block, the upgaded verion has a metal cooling block

yes this true... but all home normal user never upgrade the MB
Hello,
the TV turns on fine, seems to be working, but shows no image outside of a thick white vertical line as it turns on that also disappears almost instantly, and then it's just backlight. I've tried unplugging either side, but still can't get an image. I suspect it's a panel issue, but thought i'd ask some smarter people to confirm. I haven't found any weird readings, but then again i'm just randomly poking around with a multimeter.
I'm wondering if this type of display error (please see photos) can be fixed by replacing the LED strips or would that be an exercise in futility because the panel has been permanently altered.
Notes: It turns on every time. Sound is good too. I have tried changing all the display settings, power cycling it, and resetting it to factory mode. Even went into the Service Menu but nothing worked to resolve these blotchy and faded images. Blotches do not move. The degree of image fade (dimness) always stays the same. Picked this tv up for free so I have no insight into if it was handled...

good night! I have this TV, with quite poor build quality. It has a tcon integrated into the panel, a single flex from the tcon to the panel, and the 2 panel controller boards joined by glued flexes. There is no way to separate them.
The symptom is that the image is not visible, but the backlight works. How to know if the problem is in the main or in the tcon-panel? I can't override zones.
