hello everyone I am looking for a solution for my tv, I think corruption of the eemc,

the TV starts, LG logo, then nothing (rear backlight)
no reaction to rear command or infrared


the usb procedure that I tried on the LG site is a procedure with the screen and the remote control so I can't.


I have a chance with a usb procedure or other if you have .bin

if any people have this main board

there are Russian web portal they have good sources of all web os ( engineering firmware ), for many years i posted here over LG threats but still i cant find it... it will recover yours TV

to use USB you need to make folder name LG_DTV and put the firmware inside... while it on insert the usb stick hope yours screen will show you dialoge

Childish thinking is when people think that eMMCs are forever and have no wear and tear. Type in the search what “eMMC lifetime” is and you will find out a lot of interesting things; if you have never encountered eMMC, then you are probably lucky.

we do know life time on solid sector.... but could you explain please why for example plasma LG / Samsung / Sony still working and their eMMC didn't die or life time ended.... of sure the users had many time update or new search or whatever write on the sectors ???

In plasmas they usually installed Nand memory, in old LCDs they began to install eMMC of small volume 4-8Gb and the memory was filled almost to capacity, and rewriting became more frequent (eMMC is a nand flash + built-in controller (two in one), which contains its own firmware and now this controller monitors the health of nand memory; when its health ends, the controller blocks access to memory).

eMMC contain NAND too .. only emmc don't have erase function.

The board can have bga soldering issue or both data fail and bga issue for me, so for the common humans a replacement board is the only way to run, the best way is reballing+kindly rom writing, when the first is the less problematic, the second needs a good donor board or friend tech.. which way do you prefer?
