Midea Control Board from Home Depot MiniSplit
    by repair-it
I am trying to determine what these components are, used a jumpers. I am not sure if they are ferrite or something else. Board ID is EU-KFR80W/BP3(IR311+PS21997+SIM6822+LOCK).D.13.WP2-1. A service tech shorted the area underneath these components, which were covered in carbon. They are also used in another place on this pcb but I'm not sure what they are. I have not removed them to measure yet. They do not have a label on them.

nacon ps4 wired controller faulty LED and trigger pot
    by jetuaime81
I have a nacon controller which has some fancy RGB ring (4 RGB LEDs). 3 of 4 leds are not good and I am looking for a replacement. The size I measured is 3mm x 2.5mm and it seems a 3528 led would fit fine, and it's in common anode. But I am not sure what wattage it is. I have attached photos of led and driver ic (ak63rq1 I think).

Also one of the triggers is malfunctioning sometimes, I don't know what these pots are called. I measured across the 1st and last legs (in circuit) seems to be 1.1kohm pot. I found some xbox controllers have this but they are 10k. Any info?...

Part selection for possible blown inductor on ASUS GX531-GW-AB76 laptop mobo
    by swerg
    Hey everyone,

I'm a novice trying to repair my laptop. The LCD screen has an image, but no LED backlight for the image. It also produces an image when connected to an external monitor.
I have found what I believe to be a blown inductor labeled "L4502" and "120 Ohm" in the schematics (zoomed in image, blue arrow to blown component). I have included an image of the general area of the mobo and an excerpt from the schematics as well.
I am having trouble selecting a replacement component, which I believe to be a 120 Ohm ferrite bead, from the components...

Lenovo laptops unstable with sodimm ram
    by dr.thodt
For the second time this week I received a Lenovo laptop with onboard ram and one sodimm slot. Both laptops run stable from their onboard 4GB RAM, but turn out to be very unstable when there's a sodimm inserted in the slot.
Both times it was a GS44D/GS54D NM-C711 rev 1.0 board.
Both times there were no loose pins on the slot and it did not matter what sodimm I put in. It just artefacts and crashes randomly when there's extra ram.
What I did notice is that almost all coils have very dirty phases one the mosfet side when checked with an oscilloscope. Not something I see very often....

    a1706 820- 00239 works with charger cable
    by Joyoungjae
    hello everyone

    i have a problem to a1706

First of all, it was delivered because the power was not turned on.

5v was confirmed on the voltage meter.

The battery was removed and checked.

A short was confirmed in the ppvin_g3h_p3v3g3h line.

During the tracking process, u7000 and d6902 were replaced and u6903 was reballed.

The cause was c7081, and when I removed it, the short went away.

However, 5v still came out from the voltage switch, and I confirmed that a short was coming out of the l6900....

A2159 Touch Bar sensor is not working.
    by r1kku
Hello, I have an MacBook Pro 2019 A2159 but the Touch Bar touchscreen is not working.
I disassembled the laptop and I saw that L5100 is burned, I removed it and I connected that rail and it seems to be working. It's a problem if I leave it like this? Or I need to install a new inductor?
