    a1706 820- 00239 works with charger cable

    hello everyone

    i have a problem to a1706

First of all, it was delivered because the power was not turned on.

5v was confirmed on the voltage meter.

The battery was removed and checked.

A short was confirmed in the ppvin_g3h_p3v3g3h line.

During the tracking process, u7000 and d6902 were replaced and u6903 was reballed.

The cause was c7081, and when I removed it, the short went away.

However, 5v still came out from the voltage switch, and I confirmed that a short was coming out of the l6900.

By replacing u6903, the short was eliminated and 20v was confirmed on the voltage meter.

I thought the repair was complete and fully assembled it, but 5v was looping in the voltage switch.

When I connect the battery data cable, the power does not turn on.

    When disconnected, it boots normally.

I changed the u7000 again and the D6950, but there was no improvement.

There are no signs of flooding at all. Does anyone know anything about this?

Lastly, I cross-checked the batteries in three and there was no problem with the batteries.

    Help me~~

    1) Remove all power. Meter in DIODE mode.

Red meter probe (yes RED) to ground. Black meter probe to the point to test.

    Test

    SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL
    SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA

    2) Meter in DC voltage mode (20v or higher scale is OK). Measure the voltage to ground of PPBUS_G3H with the power adapter only. Then attach the battery and measure PPBUS_G3H to ground again.

Post each measurement. It is possible that perhaps mosfet @ Q7065 is defective. You can measure the resistance across this mosfet (with no power to the board) to confirm if it is leaky or not.
