Macbook Pro A2779 - M2 pro - Deep Sleep/No Turning on Issue
I’ve encountered a very strange issue with an M2 Pro MacBook (A2779). The laptop works fine while running, but once shut down, it refuses to turn back on and appears to get stuck in a deep sleep state.
Interestingly, as soon as I disconnect and reconnect the SMBUS battery cable, the machine powers right up—even without the charger connected. Additionally, when it does turn on, neither of the fans spin automatically, though they work perfectly fine if I trigger them manually through a fan control app.
The logic board looks completely clean with no signs of liquid damage.... -
