Hi again guys. I have this motherboard that won't show display even tho it was doing it yesterday. I think something could've past away in the circuit.
I'd appreciate if anyone who is used to MOBO LCD voltages and circuits could enlighten me since this is the first time I have to deal with it.
I'm missing +3VLCD.

by bibinskiiI got this MSI Modern 14 laptop from a friend and it is dead.
The model number is: MSI Modern 14 B11SB (MS-14D2)
He told me that this laptop suddenly died on its own.
No power indicator light. But there's a battery charging light. If I press the power button I notice the charger brick clicking so I suspect something is still going on with the laptop trying to boot.
I do have a multimeter check all resistance seems okay. The fuse is also not shorted.
5VALW is present.
3VALW is present.
The strange thing is 3VSUS and 5VSUS...2 PhotosToday, 08:56 PM -

by Mark RMost Displays I have worked with are of course LCD Or Blueish Fluorescent Types. I Have a Marantz PMD800 tuner with sort of a white display. The display area is a sealed rectangular shape in a Glass Case. Looks like some sort L.E.D. display only not your typical section number type. I picked up this Tuner cheap as the display is very Dim. In front of the circuit is a dull red Plastic lens.
The display is very week and hard to see. I've got my DC 5 Volts allover and also a DC 32 Volt that runs some other section. Power supply looks good front to back. Not familiar with this type...Yesterday, 07:19 PM -
by buromI found my old Xbox 360 in storage and opened it up to see if there was anything that broke since it was built in 2006 (launch era Xenon revision, never red ringed, never been serviced) and didn't want to find out by releasing magic smoke. Upon moving the dust bunnies out of the way I was greeted by a bunch of capacitors with crud coming out of the top; it doesn't seem to have leaked onto the board so at least I have that going for me.
I'm posting here because I want to try to source replacement caps myself from Mouser or Digikey instead of braving eBay or waiting for places to have...Yesterday, 05:10 PM -
by NicktronicHi all, just curious if the BL_ERR signal is active high or low? TV has the 6 blink error code and I've changed the backlights as they tested questionable (4 strips tested - 203VDC, 203VDC, 203VDC and 175VDC). The new strips all tested at 175VDC. Now when I turn it on, it tries twice to come up and then the 6 blink code. During the this time the BL_ERR pin is high and drops low momentarily, then does it again on the 2nd try to boot (so Im assuming active low). The other thing is the backlight voltage ramps to ~280VDC from around ~160VDC and then back down as the TV tries to boot again. Does...06-03-2024, 07:30 PM

by danny1roHey guys, I'm new here and I'd like to say thanks for all the knowledge on this forum first of all.
I am learning electronics repair, been fixing GPUs and laptops mainly until now, and I'm slowly trying to fix desktop motherboards now.
I had a few successes until now, but I messed things up with one of my recent attempts, namely a Gigabyte H410M S2 with which I burned my test cpu.
I had identified a mosfet which was burned, removed it, cheched for shorts and I didn't find any.
When the new mosfet came, I put it on the board and checked for shorts again and didn't find any....Today, 08:38 AM -
Hello guys, can someone help me with an eMMC dump for a Sony KDL55W-955B TV, I tried to read the original memory with the RT809H but it shows me that it only has 1888MB even though it should have around 3.8GB. On a new memory it shows me 3776MB. From what I found on the Sony page, the following models could also be compatible:
KDL-65W955B, KDL-55W955B, KDL-60W855B, KDL-50W805B, KDL-42W705B, KDL-32W705B, KDL-48W605B, KDL-40W605B, KDL-60W605B, KDL-55W805B, KDL-42W805B, KDL-48W585B, KDL-32W706B, KDL-42W706B, KDL-42W815B, KDL-42W817B, KDL-50W815B, KDL-55W815B, KDL-42W828B, KDL-42W829B,...Today, 04:13 PM -
by sam_sam_samThis started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours
After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup
The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old
Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start06-02-2024, 02:30 AM

by ACS-RepairI've been working on an 820-00165 parts board that would read USB2 flash drives from the LIO board but not USB3. The issue was not the LIO board, confirmed after swapping it. I didn't realize this was a even a possibility but I discovered that the signal USB3_EXTB_R2D_P was not getting through. I noticed that once again a component, C9521, was missing on the board. Once I replaced this capacitor the board would read both USB2 and USB3 flash drives.
While i was able to resolve this myself, I hope that this helps with the understanding of how this board works.Today, 05:49 PM -
by baglaivladHi everyone!
Trying to repair A1534 2015 macbook. The keyboard and touchpad was liquid damaged by coke, but the MLB has no signs of corrosion. The laptop successfully turned on, but missed a display flex. Replaced keyboard, touchpad and display flex, but still no image on the internal display (no backlight as well). When connecting to the external display the laptop works just fine (I have an image).
It seems like internal display is not recognized. I tried multiple known-good displays and display flexes, the outcome is the same: no life on the display.
It lead me to believe...Today, 02:30 PM -
by chappersHi, I have quite a lot of GTX 1080 boardview cad files that I found somewhere ages ago, but none of them are close enough to the layout of the card that I have.
There's a sticker on the card that has this on it:
Strix GTX1080 A8G Gaming D212 062820 02365 YV09M2 A04
Has anyone got a boardview for this please? I have a short on the 1V8_AON rail and the FBVDD rail (not the GPU causing it) and using a half ohm device is helping me get closer but I need to see where some vias go to.
Thanks...-
