Highlighted in red is one of the two 0 ohm resistors that weren't making good contact with the PCB. Despite this boardview showing 3 resistors, only two are actually present.
This caused the 3V supply from the PSU connector to not make it to the various ICs and other parts. Result was no QLED lights, CPU didn't get warm, etc.

Asus Rog Strix Z370-E motherboard no POST or QLED lights
Hi,
Strange problem. Motherboard was working prior to removing from PC case. Following removal, it switches on but won't POST and none of the QLEDs light up.
I've removed the BIOS IC 25Q128A and have written the latest BIOS to it.
I've checked the CPU core voltage and it's present at 1V.
Still won't POST or show any QLED lights. The boardview is available from this site, the sub-forum to this one. Haven't got a schematic though.
I'm not very familiar with motherboards. Can anyone advise please?

Nvidia MATS help please - 33 errors on two cards?
Hi,
I'm new to MATS and can only use it after watching a Youtube video, downloading the one he linked to (version 400.184) and running it without changing anything. I have no great understanding of it.
I have 3 graphics cards in the house.
My son's - Palit GTX 1080 used for 3D games constantly.
Mine - Nvidia GTX 1080 not used for 3D games, just basic stuff.
Inno3D RTX 2080 I bought faulty hoping to repair for my son's PC.
Running MATS on my son's GTX 1080 gives a pass with no errors.
Running MATS...

Re: Dell 2407WFPb Monitor - Bad Cap
D19 won't have destroyed the hexfet; D19 is the protection zener, in place between source (ground - unless your source isn't going to ground, in which case the zener will go to ground but not source) and gate in case the MOSFET ever fails, going short-circuit drain to gate, and putting full drain voltage on the gate which would then destroy all of the gate driver circuitry. Instead, if drain voltage gets to the gate, the zener is there to fail s/c and drop the voltage straight to ground.
The failure of the MOSFET may not have damaged...Last edited by chappers; 03-08-2012, 04:43 PM.
