I noticed only now the last page posts.. well, this chot is the new fashion of poop tv sets where half tcon circ. is on the tcon board or main b. and half is on the strip boards, this from the pitctures appears has two twin chips for the gamma control, i know gamma control uses VAA to generate gamma levels, my bet is that some discrete or the chip themselves for the gamma circuits are at fault, so check every discrete first, those 0 ohms etc...Leave a comment:

Manufactures recommends not to supply any current to the supply lines of panel before the vcc is turned on, this will bring to a non recoverable damage (i did it in early days and ruined some traces on a tab) , i have already explained how short can be searched, or with a 100/1000th ohm meter, this is the basis from what i read, every tcon has a different precise timing where the supply lines appears. This can bring maybe to the control board ("D"?) flash ic or the main chip itself, maybe a bad joint, is that on BGA package? When defect occurs try to find a compressed air can and freeze the chip to see if problem is delayed a lot of minutes..Leave a comment:

Yes it's my error, output connector on buffer chip can't be, for the short, i didn't mentioned a short but a slight leakage on the glue.. i would also check resistors around the buffer, are there some components on the bottom side?Leave a comment:

Hi, buy a can of dry deoxy, release the top flat cable from Y-top buffer board, spray both parts, seat and reseat two/three times, spray also the part glued on to the panel, this can't make miracles, i tell you, but surely don't buy a new duster, ypu theow money..
ps: in case this doesn't work, take a multimeter and set it to high ohms, measure two near points of the glue on topmost buffer chip, check if it is somehow conductive..Last edited by Davi.p; 08-20-2026, 04:34 PM.Leave a comment:

detach panel from tcon, check the biggest caps on.panel strips, if there is a short, check every cap resistance, take not of decimals, then remove the one with lowest decimal, check other caps again, if short in tcon you can do a similar thing.. Note: for every short measured, stay.there for seconds until the check is more stableLeave a comment:
