by pc boyHi everyone. An HP X2 1012 G2 came the other day. The problem was that the device drained the battery while off. I checked and saw the current is 0.2 before start. I went and checked parts on the MB and saw that the JHL6340 IC that is responsible for controlling Type-C gets hot. Everything worked fine and I checked charging and data of type-C both were OK. I went ahead and replaced the JHL6340. Now it does not get hot, no current before start, charging is OK, but the data of type-c is lost. I mean any type-c device like flash memory or hdmi adapter etc. do not work. I tried another jhl6340 and...Today, 03:34 AM

I downloaded a BIOS file from Lenovo and once I extracted the actual BIOS from the executable, it is 16MB in size, but my IC(Winbond 25Q80DV) is only 8MB in capacity. I have read you can trim the BIOS file with a hex editor but I can't find any instructions on specifically what you will remove.

by GeryMixHello everyone!
I have a surface pro 4 (1724) with corporate management set up (in this case, I understand it's called SEMM). In the operating system installer (Pro version), after connecting to Wi-Fi, it asks me to enter the company system. If I don't sign in, it won't let me continue (similar to enterprise enrollment on chromebooks). This can be avoided if I install the Home version instead of Pro, and then upgrade to the pro version, but this is not very elegant. I would like the machine to be as it should be in factory condition. That's why I would like someone to remove this restriction...-

by unimatrix93Dear forum, I would like to ask some help identifying the backlight circuits resistors to limit the ampere to the backlight leds.
The power supply is a BN44-00852 and I want to decrease the backlight to increase the lifetime of the LEDs.
The TV is pretty much always on, used for CCTV cameras.
I suspecting R9838 -> R9841 resistors but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance!

by PatanNeed help here...
I'm new on the forum and I'm not professional in electronics so i ask sorry in advance for eventual errors...
As title says, i have a LA-H323P dead.
Now, little background.
The computer was working fine, just seems that the cable of screen was dying because it had the classic color problem, sometimes green, sometimes violet, sometimes perfect, but anyway working.
When i opened it the battery was so fat that was seriously near to explode.
So i removed the battery... and turned on the notebook... that was, again, working perfectly fine....11 PhotosYesterday, 03:31 AM -
by kaydeeI recapped the power supply recapping the Power supply with Toasty's sketch (replaced all Shotgun, as well as "Other" caps besides C4+C5+C37). Somehow the PSU turns automatically on when I insert it in the socket. Did anyone else encounter this problem?
I would be really thankful for some advice.

by mon2Hello. Coming to you from the laptop forum. Have a client with the Fortinet 50E that has 320 Mbps as internet input speed but only 20 Mbps output on each and every downstream port (using FAST.COM to benchmark).
Reseller is stating the Fortinet is 'worn out' which does not sound logical at all unless the flash memory is 'worn out'. They, of course, want to sell another + onsite installation fees.
Can anyone share feedback on this unit? What can cause this sluggish behavior. From our knowledge, this device is snooping on the traffic to halt viruses / hack attacks, etc....-

I'm looking for the Boardfile for the HuaQin NB2672 PCBA (Acer Swift 3X S3X SF314-510G), specifically the Allegro .brd of it and not the .cad.
Attached the schematic of it in case anyone needs that.
