Hello,
Received a Dell Laptop with some problems on startup (long delays, no-POST, reset) and manufacturer mode is active all the time.
Even after writing ST and ALT+F on startup.
Bios chip looks re-soldered and some plastic surrounding it show signs of hot air blow. .
So I think it was reprogrammed with another computer dump.
Me Region read from chip: 14.1.67.2046
Tested with some dumps from bios request / pwd unlock thread.
and got one working very well (fast boot , exit from Man mode ok) but not detect ssd nvme.

Need help with HP15-fxxxxx Quanta U99/U92 LVDS <> eDP conversion.
Hello , for some time I was studying Quanta U9x/8x schematics and the option to use both type of screen (LVDS 40 pin / eDP 30 pin).
In some cases to use LVDS screen PCB use converter IC RTD2132/6
Now I found an HP 15 F series U99 mainboard with RTD chip not populated and LVDS 40 pin lcd touch screen
at the same time I have another HP 15 N series with Quanta U92 mainboard and RTD2136 with eDP 30 pin lcd screen (no touch).
Maybe someone more experienced in the subject can clarify if is posible to change type of screen used with some resistors / bios options change.

Hello, received a similar one 15-cn0997nz with same mainboard, different problem: Instant shutoff after power on (1-2 sec.) , backlight off ,charge ok.
Have 12V On +B rail (F5501), in your case need to test 2 power mosfet near DCIN connector (Q7309,Q???) and charger IC PU4401 (BQ25708).Leave a comment:

Hi Dannyx in case you still hold this dead creature, received today a Tyco/Elo Touch POS/Cashier with the same PSU (SPI270F4B24).
Customer wants to upgrade CPU/Ram, and only reuse monitor/touchscreen.
Tested complete system before upgrade, PSU works but after a couple of minutes shutoff with that "relay like" sound.
Finally put (outside case) standard ATX PSU with borrowed CN19 connector piggybacked to ATX connector (without 24V lines) from original PSU.
So long everything works OK.

Same problem here, Lenovo 14-ADA PCB:NM-D151
Dumped Bios an EC , followed directions on post #1 with latest update from web (e8cn39ww),
added DMI data from dump = No POST/ black screen
Erased EC with IO programmer, reboot = No POST / black screen
reboot again and dump again EC to check data CRC of EC firmware.
EC ROM image copied from BIOS address 0x2C8000 len 0x20000 to EC exactly.
Will check with old versions posted in this thread (36 and 38) but it seems HW issue.Leave a comment:

View this trying to fix a NM-D151 with no POST/Display.
ITE IT8227E on NM-D151 autoprogram itself if internal flash is empty from ECROM image embed on BIOS.
Checked myself dumping, erasing and program an empty image (all 0xFF) with KBC programmer and dumping again after reboot.
Contents are exact the same as EC image on lenovo bios dump at offset 0x2C8000 lenght 0x20000 (128k).

Lifted CPU VRM Phase Coils , short gone .
ID Phase3 and Phase4 Output mosfets PQ8103 and PQ8104 (AON6962)

img3 both 10k resistor, will solder news and let you know.
Board problem: Cycling power on/off ( 3sec.)
BQ780S Cycling Q60000 & Q60010 gates (ACDRV Pin4)
Voltage in /PROCHOT (BQ Pin10) is 0,6V , maybe those 2 10k resistors works as pullups for /PROCHOT and CMPOUT.
