I don't have any new mosfets, so I pulled two N channel fets from a donor board. I tested them out of circuit, and found source > gate resistance as OL. I replaced PQB5 AND PQB6 since it too, had less than 200k source > gate. Both fets, soldered, are reading 143k source > gate. This motherboard is causing me to examine my life choices lol.... -
source & drain = 2.5M
source & gate = 200k
gate & drain = 2.2M

OK, confirmed, with that mosfet removed and the battery installed, the laptop powers up and the OS recognizes a battery is installed, and as you mentioned, it does not charge. I then verified, reinstalled that mosfet, and again, the laptop will only power up if the battery is disconnected....Leave a comment:
