Problem with Samsung UE55MU6120KXZT
by GDACS
Hi everyone i'm new on this forum, i have a problem with Samsung UE55MU6120KXZT, motherboard model: BN41-02568, After disconnection from 220V the TV remains switched off with status led off. I need information on how to proceed with reprogramming the flash memory and the BIN file to reprogram it. I am not very experienced but I would like to learn so the more detailed the information, the better it will be for me to proceed with this repair.
If there is already a thread of this type can you send it to me or link it. I include photos of the motherboard where you can see the IC, thanks in...

LG OLD55CX6LA TCON Short - Help Identifying Component
by spookt
Hi Folks

I've got a friend's LG OLED on the bench (well the dining table given the size of it!). It immediately powers off when turned on and sits in standby. PSU voltages are good and after disconnecting the TCON board there is stable 12V and 22V coming out of the PSU board.

Hunting around the TCON board there appears to be a shorted power rail (DVDD09_CORE) but I'm having issues identifying the component which is shorted. I've attached a picture. It's sitting before the coil so I'm assuming it's a MOSFET of some description, but the markings I can make out don't seem...

Samsung QE82Q70RAT no backlight
by sansanpartida
Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.

My issue: No backlight.

Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT

The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.

So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

ASUS N550JK laptop reboots after 30 minute, BIOS extracted invalid...
by bschwand
Hi all,

as subject line says, I have a laptop that reboots after 30 minutes. Investigation leads me to believe that is due to intel ME as it happens everytime after 30 minute from boot, it just turns off, no overheating, nothing weird.
I found a lot of information about cleaning ME like this https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/guide-clean-dumped-intel-engine-cs-me-cs-txe-regions-with-data-initialization/31277 and this https://github.com/corna/me_cleaner
Anyway, first step is to dump the bios. I found the Winbond W25Q64FV chip on the motherboard, dumped...

ASUS M3401QA BIOS request
by kingblade20
Hi,

My M3401QA does not power on properly: no display (all black) and with white LED charging port blinking slowly (once every ~3 seconds).
Checked several points across the board and supplies are up and running but I need to double check when I get schematic.
Result is still the same even with DC jack inserted and battery connector removed.

Tried flashing the latest BIOS as of this date to no avail which I suspect has something to do with DMI but tools could not run properly on my machine and couldn't find manual copy of DMI through hex editor and not sure...

Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54) No charge No power
by earwig_nick
Hello all,
I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54) with motherboard EH5VF LA-501P with a short on the power rail.
I'm just learning board level diagnostic, but here is what I've found so far.
I injected 1.5v to one of the positive leads on the DC jack connector (PJP101) and read about 1.4a to ground.
I felt around for heat and found the MOSFET at PQB12 is rippin hot!
when i pulled the MOSFET from the board the short went away. In my mind it was a faulty MOSFET.
Ordered a replacement and got it installed only to find it gets very hot again and the short returns....

Hi

I need the value of C102 .

Briefly : Blown Fuse . In-Series lamp lights fully = short on Hot Side - Bridge DC Holes are shorted !. Bridge OK out-of-circuit. Chopper Mosfet and Diode - OK. D102 ( T4 Diode ) measures In-Circuit 0.041V both ways but Normal outside. Other caps / diodes..ok. Short remains Haarg .
BUT ! , when C102 Cap ( between Main Cap legs , it doesn't show as I took it out for easier access ) was taken out - short is gone .

Thanks a bunchHi

optocoupler? B3PBE0000060
by jm1234
Hi,
I'm troubleshooting SN board of Panasonic plasma TV and I'm curious about a component that looks like an optocoupler, it has 5 legs though. I tried to check between legs 1-2, but no diode junction there, it's open. So either that is not a diode there or it's burnt.
For future searches, the part num is B3PBE0000060, the label on the component says 9157 and N219.
Any idea?
