Hi everybody,
when I power-on my Lenovo ThinkPad T490 it make's a single bip an a single blink of both power led and charge led and power-off again.
I have read on multiple forum it can be a BIOS problem so I desolder it and I think I have a broken chip BIOS beacuse I try to read it multiple times but the result are always different and the programmer tells me that readed byte are different from aspected.
On a famous site I have seen they sell already programmed BIOS chip but I remember someonr tell's me it is not a good idea to buy it.

This is not the first time I try to use easy jtag to flash a bios but this eprom is faulty and I don’t know how to choose the right bios

I have this motherboard with bios eprom damaged, if I take a backup, data are unreadable so I don't know what is my BID. How can I solve ?

Update: I have backed up the content of the rom, erased it and flashed the bios taken from here: [url]https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=163362&d=1505624641[/url]
If I plug power cord the laptop automatically power on, with the battery I have to power ii on with the button.
Now the tension on U5 is stable but the screen remain black (not powered off, black).
Any ideas on how to proceed ?

Thank you for you answer, if R1 is the resistor between U5 and the CPU fan it is 99KOhm so it is ok.

I have a similar issue but no one component burn and the display flash from off to black.
Notebook self power-on if ac adapter connected but not with batttery.
Tryed on battery, on ac with different ac adapter, the same problem.
Tryed another display and another edp cable, same problem.
On U5 pin 1(OUT) and 4(EN) I have oscillating voltage from 3v to zero.
Any idea of some trying ?
