by tuankietkietWhen plugged in (no battery installed), the battery light on the motherboard lights up and then turn off. When powering on, the same and light and the power button also light up in a white color but no output on the display. It stayed like that for a few seconds before shutting down. I also seem to ruined a connector that connects to the WLAN, 2 USB and audio board, the same board also have a melted 2062A IC. I will post pictures in the reply section05-11-2024, 04:40 AM

by PITERPENYthere is no reaction, it hangs at 20 V/0A. There was a little corrosion in the u7650 area. Replacing the u7000 did not help. Tell me, what else could it be? PPBUS_G3H=12.9V
Flashing the bios with a clean region also did not work!05-06-2024, 04:31 PM -

by unimatrix93Can I ask you guys help me identify this godforsaken component?
I'm tearing my hair out finding this component.
The board is from an egg incubator.
i got it with a "popped cap" while there are many damaged components on it, which got succesfully identified with one exception:

by ITWizzard22I am trying to get a BIOS.bin for the following laptop model -
Name - Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2
MTM - 20VLS0NK00
S/N - PW00MX1A
I believe the laptop has a corrupted BIOS as it just turns on with no display and stays on. I am happy to get a second opinion on this though.
I have tried extracting the update .exe file from lenovos website but do not receive the same .cap files as shown in you're tutorial for UniversalExtractor RC2. Have tried Innoextractor but it doesn't find any image.
Here is the update file I was hoping to extract and...-

by fharris1977I have a MacBook Pro Touchbar A1706 that won't turn on. With the board removed I'm getting 19.62V and an average amp draw of 0.300A. When I first plug in my ampmeter it goes from 5V to 19.62V after a second or 2 and the amp draw starts at about 0.688A and up to about 0.790A and then it gradually goes down to about 0.155A and works it way up to around 0.330A and then it fluctuates in the range of about 0.200A-0.350A. The voltage stays at 19.62V. Can someone with any experience with this issue help me out. I checked all the main power rails and they were present. Anyone know it would be greatly...Today, 12:39 PM

by NagyeszHey guys, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb NM-B241 rev:1.0.
After turning it on, it runs for a few seconds then shuts off completely. No screen, no fan. After shutdown, a red light comes on and off fast. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for days now. It's never been opened up; the Lenovo sticker is still intact.
(!)I tried with a different BIOS battery, without any ribbon cables, on battery power, without the keyboard, and it's always the same.
Any insights on what might be causing this?...Today, 03:05 AM -
by E--ManHi All,
Thanks for reading. Based on the interesting fact that the vertical lines issue don't seem to effect the menus whatsoever but rather everything around the menu regardless of video is shown, I'm trying to set mine whether the issue is the main board or the t-con board.
Again what's baffling is that the menu is not effected whatsoever. However, any other video displayed regardless of inputs or when no inputs exist exhibits the vertical lines and seem to effect black areas only.
The lines are green in color when the tv is in "Game Mode" and...5 PhotosYesterday, 10:52 AM -

by RomanSko1Hello, gentlmen!!!
My HP Probook 430 g2 does not detect battery. I tested the battery on another laptop and it is OK.
I believe smth is wrong with my PC ((.
Searching this forum I found some nice suggestions.
So, I tested Battery Connector pins (charger in/battery out) and here are my results:
pin_1 0v (-)
pin_2 3.30v
pin_3 0v
pin_4 3.38v (SCL)
pin_5 2.55v (SDA)!!!
pin_6 2.25 (+)
As far as I understand SDA pin must be ~3.3v???
Are there any other tests I can do before disassembling motherboard?

by GraphicManHello guys
Because the unit is old (but only occasionally used) the loudness button causes some noise due to bad contact,
sprays did not work, so i decided to solder the pins that it connects on the pcb at the on (loudness on) position
i did that and it worked fine, i know from the bottom of my heart that the switch connects 2 pins and also d/c other 2 pins
on every position it have (6 pin switch), so i was curious what would happen if i clicked the switch off while the pins are soldered at on (so basiclly on and off at the same time), when i did so the sound is gone, nothing...-

by StephenCustomer computer came in, did a DFU revive, no luck, gives error, swapped out battery with two known working batteries still no luck. Board gets 20Volts, raises up to 1Amp then restarts, track pad clicks etc. Tried DFU restore, informed the customer that data recovery is most likely not possible since it didn't give us a revive and DFU restore was the next method to save the board, however it looks like not even DFU Restore is working as well. What could be causing this? I am assuming this is the infamous A2141 flaw that has the flawed Data lines that fail? Any suggestions would be great...Today, 10:21 AM

by copeHi everyone,
I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.
Some history:
Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.
As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)
Now, with a new battery the system will start up and run off...Today, 09:40 AM
