Customer computer came in, did a DFU revive, no luck, gives error, swapped out battery with two known working batteries still no luck. Board gets 20Volts, raises up to 1Amp then restarts, track pad clicks etc. Tried DFU restore, informed the customer that data recovery is most likely not possible since it didn't give us a revive and DFU restore was the next method to save the board, however it looks like not even DFU Restore is working as well. What could be causing this? I am assuming this is the infamous A2141 flaw that has the flawed Data lines that fail? Any suggestions would be great.

Remove all power. Meter in DIODE mode. Red meter probe, yes red to ground.
Black meter to point to test.
Test the following SMBUS lines:
I2C_PWR_SCL
I2C_PWR_SDA
Share the diode mode measurements of each line. ESD diodes @ U6950 may be defective from an ESD transient and causing these SMBUS lines to fail.

by StephenMacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

by soflesHi there.
I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).
Now situation looks like this, If... -

by Schluchti45Hello,
i ask if someone has a hint for me. I have a A2141. The original battery died and i replaced it with a new one form Ifixit. After the replacement the MacBook Boots only with the power supply.
Coconut Battery is recognize the battery but it is not charging. When i remove the power supply the MacBook is immediately dead. -
by tomtom67A friend brought his fresh-from-ebay macbook pro A2141 after he failed replacement keyboard plugging.
I fixed all the little problems he introduced.
I am unable to install macOS to this device. Both Sequoia and Catalina (from Internet Recovery) start to install, but after ~2-5 minutes into the installation the macbook does a hard restart (max fan spin for a split second, then reboot without chime).
I noticed what I think is a very high power consumption, like 20V/1.7A when activating WiFi for internet recovery, and more like 20V/3.7-4.1A while downloading the recovery... - Loading...
