A1706 Won't Turn on 20V/0.3A draw
by fharris1977
I have a MacBook Pro Touchbar A1706 that won't turn on. With the board removed I'm getting 19.62V and an average amp draw of 0.300A. When I first plug in my ampmeter it goes from 5V to 19.62V after a second or 2 and the amp draw starts at about 0.688A and up to about 0.790A and then it gradually goes down to about 0.155A and works it way up to around 0.330A and then it fluctuates in the range of about 0.200A-0.350A. The voltage stays at 19.62V. Can someone with any experience with this issue help me out. I checked all the main power rails and they were present. Anyone know it would be greatly...

Samsung LED UHD TV - Bad Main Board or Bad T-Con Board? Pictures inside
by E--Man
Hi All,

Thanks for reading. Based on the interesting fact that the vertical lines issue don't seem to effect the menus whatsoever but rather everything around the menu regardless of video is shown, I'm trying to set mine whether the issue is the main board or the t-con board.

Again what's baffling is that the menu is not effected whatsoever. However, any other video displayed regardless of inputs or when no inputs exist exhibits the vertical lines and seem to effect black areas only.

The lines are green in color when the tv is in "Game Mode" and...

Hello,
I have MacBook Pro 2022 M2 with MB 820-02773 and it is completely dead. When I plug USB thru USB Voltmeter (FNB58), the Voltmeter turns off. I don't have any voltage on any pin. Looks like undetected. Should I replace UF100 and UF000 first? I don't have any idea how to start repair without voltage. Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb: Comes on and goes off
by Nagyesz
Hey guys, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb NM-B241 rev:1.0.
After turning it on, it runs for a few seconds then shuts off completely. No screen, no fan. After shutdown, a red light comes on and off fast. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for days now. It's never been opened up; the Lenovo sticker is still intact.

(!)I tried with a different BIOS battery, without any ribbon cables, on battery power, without the keyboard, and it's always the same.

Any insights on what might be causing this?...

A2141 MacBook Pro 16" Turns on but no life, holds charge.
by Stephen
Customer computer came in, did a DFU revive, no luck, gives error, swapped out battery with two known working batteries still no luck. Board gets 20Volts, raises up to 1Amp then restarts, track pad clicks etc. Tried DFU restore, informed the customer that data recovery is most likely not possible since it didn't give us a revive and DFU restore was the next method to save the board, however it looks like not even DFU Restore is working as well. What could be causing this? I am assuming this is the infamous A2141 flaw that has the flawed Data lines that fail? Any suggestions would be great...

Battery not charging in ASUS G532LWS Motherboard -> BQ24780S
by cope
Hi everyone,

I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.

Some history:

Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.

As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)

Now, with a new battery the system will start up and run off...

HP Probook 430 G2 (LA-B171P) Battery not detected
by RomanSko1
Hello, gentlmen!!!
My HP Probook 430 g2 does not detect battery. I tested the battery on another laptop and it is OK.
I believe smth is wrong with my PC ((.
Searching this forum I found some nice suggestions.
So, I tested Battery Connector pins (charger in/battery out) and here are my results:

pin_1 0v (-)
pin_2 3.30v
pin_3 0v
pin_4 3.38v (SCL)
pin_5 2.55v (SDA)!!!
pin_6 2.25 (+)

As far as I understand SDA pin must be ~3.3v???
Are there any other tests I can do before disassembling motherboard?
