When plugged in (no battery installed), the battery light on the motherboard lights up and then turn off. When powering on, the same and light and the power button also light up in a white color but no output on the display. It stayed like that for a few seconds before shutting down. I also seem to ruined a connector that connects to the WLAN, 2 USB and audio board, the same board also have a melted 2062A IC. I will post pictures in the reply section05-11-2024, 04:40 AM

But now I need a new bios...

I am trying to help someone to repair a mac mini A1993 820-00939.
The mac mini won't power on.
Voltages on U7800 are all good except
PP1V2_PRIM 0v
PP1V_PRIM 0v
PP5V_G3S is missing too
Someone has the power on sequence of this ?

Read more. When the power supply is connected, the front panel indicators light up briefly.
When you press the power button, the button indicator lights up. The board works

Hey guys, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb NM-B241 rev:1.0.
After turning it on, it runs for a few seconds then shuts off completely. No screen, no fan. After shutdown, a red light comes on and off fast. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for days now. It's never been opened up; the Lenovo sticker is still intact.
(!)I tried with a different BIOS battery, without any ribbon cables, on battery power, without the keyboard, and it's always the same.

I am trying to downgrade my bios on my Alienware so I can undervolt & overclock my CPU, and overclock my ram. I need to get to bios 1.2.2 for this. Dell doesn't allow downgrades, and their bios file is an exe compiled in c++, so I can't decompile it easily. I am wondering if I can flash the bios manually using a usb flasher. I would like to know if this is possible, and if so, where the bios chip would be. I know flashers are pretty cheap and the bios chip is 8-pin. Hello everyone, I have this Asus model X556UA that when plugged in I get the white light but nothing happens when pressing the power button. I've been looking into it following the power sequence and found out that the power button is sending the signal to the EC (PWR_SW#) but the EC is not sending the PM_PWRBTN# to the PCH (it always stays at 3.3V). I'm stuck here and don't know what else can I do, maybe I can get some help. I've seen that this could mean that the PCH is dead but I don't know how I can confirm this. Hi everyone,
I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.
Some history:
Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.
As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)

Would need some help with this mini PC, the issue is - after turning on, PC starts, but there is no picture on the screen, no reaction on LED in external keyboard. Tested with another known good RAM. All voltages are present. Looks like BIOS issue to me, right?
