I don't understand the point of taking measurements when the screen is off.
Of course, measurements are taken when the screen is running....

I don’t remember specifically in this case since two years have passed.
But I always supply the standby voltage through a 3-10 kOhm resistor.
However, you should make sure that it does not exceed a logic high level....Leave a comment:

Apologies for not notifying you right away — I was changing computers and had to recall all my passwords.
The issue turned out to be quite simple to resolve. I placed the TV in its normal position and noticed a barely visible band at the top of the screen.
I sent the video to the client, and he declined the repair it.
I should also mention that I was simultaneously working on the same model of TV, but a 65-inch version. On that unit, no picture appeared at all — only a greenish-white background. Diagnosis is clear: it’s Panel defect (COF / row driver failure). Probably...Leave a comment:

LG OLED55CX6LA screen protection disabling
I’ve run into an issue with an LG OLED 55CX6LA TV (T-CON: LG650AQD-ENA1).
The problem is that the protection is being triggered via the ERROR_DET signal.
I’ve checked all the main points: power rails (VGH, VGL, VCOM), load behavior, and thermal conditions — everything looks stable, and there are no obvious faults or overheating.
The panel produces a normal image, but the unit shuts down after a few seconds due to this protection signal.
The ERROR_DET line appears to be driven by the SM4090 controller. At this stage, it looks like either a false trigger... -
Bosch BBS265 battery – RENESAS ISL94212 charge controller issue
Hello everyone,
I have a BOSCH BBS265 battery with a RENESAS ISL94212 charge controller and an MPC5602D management controller.
Two out of five LEDs are blinking.
This sometimes happens when connecting the thick B+ wire for soldering.
In my opinion, the calibration table inside the RENESAS ISL94212 controller gets corrupted.
There is no visible physical damage on the board.
Replacing the ISL94212 with a new one does not help — nothing changes.
I have not yet tried using a donor chip.
The only official debugging kit I... -
Hi.
Ok.
Send me PSU board, I would try to rise PFC until 400VLeave a comment:

JBL PARTYBOX 710 NO SOUND
Hi,
I've come across an issue with a JBL PartyBox 710 — no sound output.
I would like to share this case, as it may be useful for others.
Initially, the 48 V power rail was not present.
However, this turned out to be a standard PSU protection trip.
The HV-R49 rail connection was burned out. After restoring it, the PSU started but wasn't working.
That said, a significant amount of time was lost because the LOOP/LOCK protection kept tripping.
I would like to point out that when repairing the power supply on the table, the XP1 connector does not provide...Last edited by AlexVG; 01-15-2026, 07:04 PM. -
Hi my friend,
I recently came across with the same piano, but different problem.
In my case, all voltages are present. But LED D102 doesn't work.
No sound.
I checked lines:
PC1-4 (shows 5V)
PB1-7 (1.6V)
Any exchange is missing.
However, exchange presents between another components (DRAM, EPROM, DP etc...)
Amplifier works perfectly.
I suspect CPU.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you....Leave a comment:

Hi,
You should calculate your own divider depending on your PFC voltage....Leave a comment:

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
But that's not it.
My test mainboard boots without a battery.
At the least, it should read the NAND. But it doesn't get to that point because there's no voltage on the NAND (3.3V)Last edited by AlexVG; 09-24-2025, 07:16 PM.Leave a comment:

IPAD A1673 power constantly resetting
Hello. I came across with the power supply constantly resetting on IPAD A1673.
(I connect it to USB power)
PMU U8100 is rising all voltages except PP3V3_S2 . Consequently, the SYS_ALIVE is also absent.
I have two identical boards with the same symptoms, and I think this is a common problem.
I also have a working board. I've taken all the measurements to compare and haven't seen any abnormalities. There are no signs of a short circuit or water damage.
VREF, IREF are also present.
I also couldn't find any PP3V3_S2 enable signals.
Please help me and suggest...Last edited by AlexVG; 09-24-2025, 05:28 PM. -

Hi, I replaced all of 27c040 and programmed with the dumps from here.
Something changed, but not sound yet.
I guess IC6, IC7 must be also replaced.
Do you have any suggestions?
Maybe dump from IC6, IC7 helps?Leave a comment:

Hi ZYKLOP,
You should change the divider (R69,R78,R80/R87) to get a confident excess of the protection threshold. I set 1.1 volts.Leave a comment:
