The tv works fine when watching freeview tv so i will probably advise them to just use a firestick or streaming box via hdmi for the apps...Leave a comment:

Hi guys anyone have a link for the latest software update for sharp lc-49cug8052k i have tried updating it in the tv menu says upto date but its from 2018 issue apps etc freeze and apps slow to respond freeview and same apps played through firestick/hdmi playback all work ok
Edit have now done a factory reset tv still doing the same thing on apps the app freezes then after a while tv reboots and goes back too normal freeview tv channel. so guess it is a mainboard fault as davi.p suggested.Last edited by vinceroger69; 10-16-2024, 06:44 AM. -

a question, the board i sold came out of a cracked screen set damaged when moving tv it still showed a full image on screen though, the buyer is now saying the cracked screen has caused a short on the mainboard causing the split screen image in the top picture i am saying its because his lcd screen numbers do not match the tv the mainboard comes out of hes tried a factory re set but cant get past the pairing the remote page is this also a indicator the lcd screen miss match is the cause.

Hi guys i recently stripped a tv with a damaged panel (screen cracked but showing full image) i sold the mainboard on ebay and the buyer is having a issue with split screen image as in same image on both sides of screen the board i sold him is a identical match any ideas whats causing this as trying to help the person out (his tv works fine with his old main borard his hdmis are damaged)

Edit asked buyer for a picture of lcd sticker i think his issue is a lcd and mainboard match problem

I was also thinking this too i wonder if the owner swapped the mainboard out themselves when that did not fix it , they took it to a repair shop now psu sorted now the tv is now having this issue as wrong mainboard...Leave a comment:

update after some more testing i have found its a lcd panel issue on left half of screen, if i tape certain lines on the lcd connecting flex i can get a image but cannot get rid of all the lines so i will strip this set for parts as i would never sell a tv with a known lcd fault.Leave a comment:
