I bought a T12-958 recently with an M8 handle and until now it has worked very well. The tip wasn't earthed but that was easily resolved.
Now, whenever it is switched on, it heats up to about 70*C then shows an [INVER] error on the screen and stops. In order to fix it I have to either unplug and re-plug the handle, or unplug and re-insert the tip from the handle. While doing that it changes to [ERROR], then it finishes heating up and works perfectly. Until it's turned off, after which it will show [INVER] again next time it is turned on.
Any idea what the problem is?05-06-2024, 01:36 PM -

by bschwandHi all,
as subject line says, I have a laptop that reboots after 30 minutes. Investigation leads me to believe that is due to intel ME as it happens everytime after 30 minute from boot, it just turns off, no overheating, nothing weird.
I found a lot of information about cleaning ME like this https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/guide-clean-dumped-intel-engine-cs-me-cs-txe-regions-with-data-initialization/31277 and this https://github.com/corna/me_cleaner
Anyway, first step is to dump the bios. I found the Winbond W25Q64FV chip on the motherboard, dumped...-

by sewsulleGood Afternoon,
This is my first post here so I apologize if I miss something.
I'm working on an A1708 that draws 20v and 0a with the board removed.
When installed in the machine, it takes 20v and 0.1a. The fan spins up and the trackpad clicks.
Some measurements:
PPBUS_G3H: 13.13v
PP3V3_S5: 3.3v
PP5V_S4: 5.1v
PP3V3_S0: 0.6v
Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if more measurements would help.
Thanks in advance05-19-2024, 01:29 PM -

by 90NinetyHi
I have a 453 Mini , two of the four Sata ports are not getting 12V . I am wondering if anyone has knowledge on hardware repair on these devices . I have attached an image of the board , it appears the Sata ports are powered in pairs , the right pair are working , left pair no voltage ( 0.2V)
I have tried tracing the 12V rail , though have not been successful . I am guessing there is a Transistor or Mosfet that is open
Any help , perhaps a schematic?
The board otherwise appears to work fine .. Boots up ,

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.
My issue: No backlight.
Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT
The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.
So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

by ScarfycakeHi all,
I sent my ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7600, 12th Gen Intel) to the local repair guys to have a very simple DC in port replaced. I sourced the part myself on accessoires-asus (french company) after struggling to find the right part in the UK. It looked completely the same to the installed part from what I can tell. Originally the only issue with the laptop was a bad / loose DC connection, and so the computer and battery acted completely normal aside from a very poor connection that would fail at certain angles. After the repair was completed I brought it home and used...5 PhotosYesterday, 08:16 AM -

Greetings to all, a while ago my TV was dead, it didn't turn on and the standby light was off, the next day it is working. But these days it no longer wants to turn on, I did some troubleshooting, I disconnected the main board, I checked the voltage on the backlight and there is 400 DC, when I connect it again the main board the voltage drops, in all that troubleshooting, miraculously the standby light comes on and the TV works. After an hour I check and test, I turn on the TV, the Stanby light flashes 3 times...Today, 02:07 PM -
by ianbakHi,
I have an HP 255 G8 that runs for as long as its battery holds charge but won't accept AC power.
I have partially diagnosed the problem and the issue seems to be that there is no ACDRV output from the BQ24735 to turn on the two input MOSFETs. The 24735 has a VCC of 19.57 V, the ACDET input is at 2.93 V and the REGN 6V LDO is outputting 5.98 V, so everything looks good - but ACDRV is stuck at 28 mV.
I've already replaced the 24735 and both input MOSFETs and nothing has changed.
I'd appreciate some suiggestions as to what to try next.05-20-2024, 08:45 AM -
