Asus UX7602Z Liquid Damage - schematics or help with components identifying required
Hi, I received a Liquid Damaged Asus UX7602Z for repair. I've cleaned the motherboard and found couple of damaged components. Two of them (near the battery connector) I can't identify. One is a resistor of unknow value, and the other one is probably a transistor. Laptop won't charge the battery without them. Please see the pictures and help with components identifying. I couldn't find any schematics or boardview for this laptop.
Laptop model: Asus UX7602Z
Motherboard: UX7602ZM, R2.1
Hi,
Can you please enable the MPM mode in the attached BIOS? I was trying many times to do so via HP BIOS Configuration Utility, but I always end up with Error Code 6 (Access Denied).
HP Elitebook x360 1030 G7. Motherboard FPM30 LA-J442P, Rev.1.0. S/N: CND1023N04. System bios "S93"....
Hi, Can you please clean DMI information (s/n and others) so I can use this bios on a second HP X360 1030 G7? Or have you got just a clean bios, so I can add DMI info later on?
I tried a BIOS from HP website (matching "S93") sp151282.exe for HP EliteBook x360 1030 G7 Notebook PC, but it didn't work (won't turn on). I might be doing something wrong....
Thank you Vesko. The file from you works perfectly.
I've actually unlocked the dump file by comparing the other unlocked files on Badcaps, but was to afraid to flash the bios. Now I now understand the unlocking method fully....
I received Samsung NP680Z5E laptop for repair. It is charging the battery (charging light on, the voltage on the battery confirms the charging process), but the laptop won't switch on. 3.3V present on the BIOS chip. Power switch checked (however the voltage on the switch is just below 1V - I have no clue if this is the right voltage). Cable connection between the power switch/USB logic board and the main motherboard was checked and is OK. I have no schematic or boardview and I'm also not the greatest specialist in motherboard repair.
Can you please unlock this EFI file, please? The message on the screen (for master password) is "DBPG1J3-8FC8".
By the way I've been comparing EFI files (locked and unlocked) of this model, but there are so many differences that it would take ages to go through it manually. Is there any app to compare files and automatically save the differences or move them to other file?
I use HxD but it doesn't seem to be a very powerful tool.
Re: Need UEFI Password Removed from my Surface Pro 5 BIOS DUMP
Thank you Peste.
I just realized that my original attempt (described above) to unlock the EFI was actually successful. Your file works as well. I was fooled by the touchpad and touchscreen not working in the EFI menu (on both - mine and yours files). After connecting external mouse I can change the EFI options on mine and yours EFI.
The Touchpad and Touchscreen works fine in Windows OS.
Re: Need UEFI Password Removed from my Surface Pro 5 BIOS DUMP
Can you please unlock this EFI dump? It comes from the Surface 1796.
I did try to "FF" the dump from start-offset 600064 until end-offset 00614F4F but it didn't work. I can get into the EFI/BIOS but can't really click on anything.
Can you please remove the password from the BIOS dump or provide a unlocked BIOS dump from other X515JA (CSME ver13.0.X) ?
I couldn't find (for free) any BIOS dump for Asus X515JA. I found matching BIOS from ASUS X415JA REV 2.0 - after cleaning ME region it works fine apart of the keyboard, so I still need X515JA BIOS.
