Hello everyone, right now I'm trying to repair or at least diagnose an Asus laptop.
Laptop behaves as follow:[LIST][*]When [B]plugging the charger[/B], [B]orange LED[/B] turns on (but no battery connected)[*]Pressing the [B]power button[/B] turn on [B]white LED[/B] indicator but nothing changes[*]Amperage is always around 0.030 Amps[*]Missing RAM DDR3 voltage (1.35V) and also all the ones around the SOC (VCCGT, VCCSA and VCCCORE)[/LIST]I noticed that the RAM power driver is not sending the signal to the gates of the mosfets and I'm trying to find out if the IC is working properly...

Hello, I'm trying to remove the password from an HP Elitebook 650 G10. It's motherboard has two chips, a 32mb spi (W25Q256JVEN) and 32mb ec (GD25B256EYIG). Issue: I have an HP Pavilion 14-ce3010nh 8BV97EA laptop. When plugged into the charger, it turns on, but there is no display, the fans do not run, and the processor gets slightly warm. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is. I've reflashed the BIOS twice without any success. No post. Already tried out with another ram stick with no luck
I measured the voltage with the HP turned on in red, and I measured their resistance with the HP turned off in green....Yesterday, 04:10 AM -
Hi guys, I have this macbook a1278 which doesn't have any image on the display, but when I turn it on I hear the chime.
I found the L9008 choke open and reset it.
When I turn on the macbook I have about 3v on pins 3 and 4 of the display so everything is ok but I still don't have the image.
On the backligt pin 21 and 22 I have 0v but the fuses are all ok.
What can I check?

The fan is spinning at full speed.

Anyone ever worked on this board before?
Few issues im trying to resolve:
1. Laptop will not power up without main battery connected (missing 3.3v line)- measuring on the 3.3v coil i can see 0v but for split second it jumps to 3.3v and drops again.
Is this laptop supposed to power on only with battery connected?
2. Battery voltage + line is getting 19v, for my experience 7.4v battery isn't meant to be charged with main line voltage- is this normal?

Hi all, I'm looking at what seems to be a nice puzzle
A ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 that stopped working more or less a month after the warranty expired. I tried to boot both Windows 10 and Debian 12 from a USB stick. In the first case, the system just reboots after showing the Windows logo for a few seconds, while I'm able to see the Linux kernel crashing if I boot the second in failsafe mode.
Interestingly, some times (unfortunately it's difficult to replicate) I manage to boot into Debian 12 live. Moreover, the kernel doesn't seem to crash always at the same point during...05-25-2024, 03:43 PM

Haptic feedback on the trackpad works, and the app configurator on other MacBooks recognizes this MacBook.(not DFU status) That is, the power is turned on normally. However, nothing is output on the screen. no backlight, no image.
Both screen and screen cables are fine.
