Confused - I don’t want to order wrong thing

Going to replace op-amps in a guitar amp jcr072d

so TI versions have suffix D IP etc. There didn't seem to be an explanation of these anywhere. I think they indicate the physical pin characteristics but what do they represent- anyone have a list.

going from a D down to a B is not such a good idea. Find some NJM072D and call it good.

The guitar amp has no output - there's no shorts on the board and I've tested as much as I can in terms of components on the board being open circuit - none found

so change the three JRC072D op-amps maybe affect something. Thus the question about what replaces the D suffixed op-amp with what suffixed tl072xx op amp as I can't find a D tl one

NJM072's are discontiued since 2018 @ Mouser. Probably DigiKey as well. Futurelec has some. I bought from them before no problem. I think I did find a schematic for that amp.

Order them from futurlec.com. They have them in stock. I used these guys multiple times no problem. Also look in that other thread. I found a schematic this morning from a Fender Frontman 15B bass. It looks awfully like your Squier. Put a signal in and trace it with your scope.

You can order from “futurlec.com” they are reputable I have ordered from them several times over the years and have never had any issues with them

You can also order from “Quest Components.com” for hard to find parts as well I also have used them several times over the years as well

I did a quick search on Quest Components and I did not find anything one note they do not always find what you are looking for but a lot times they have very hard to find components

maybe these are TL072 compatable.
the end letter usually indicates the package, D being soic surface-mount and N bein dip package
so does the power-amp work? can you inject hum or audio into it or the volume pot?

I don't recommend blindly changing parts. Best to troubleshoot a bit more - in your repair thread:

Note the TL072 family was improved in 2021, but the newer parts are SMT only I think and have the "H" suffix. It's pretty confusing.

I agree with Redwire. Did you check all the diodes ? And if you have scope, the IC1A/B pin 7 and pin 1 respectively. there should be signal there if the IC is good. the transistors later are more likely to fail I would think.
