Hi Peeps.
Quick question. Might sound silly so bear with me pls.
After flashing a BIOS with a flashing tool, my laptop went from stone dead, to the fan spinning. However the screen doesnt show POST. Is there anything like pulling out the battery AFTER flashing the BIOS one needs to do or is there another issue I am sitting with now?

by abajorI have this 1707 with the 5V 0A power loop issue on 3 of the jacks.
One of the CD3215C00 had corrosion under one side U3100 to be precise.
This USB jack was drawing ~.2A and not boot looping.
After replacing the CD3215 I am having an odd problem. I can rotate the USB-C and it only works in one orientation. And now it boot cycles, like the other usb channels so I'm part way there.
After looking at the schematic and board view. It makes very little sense that this is happening since they both pin 59 and pin 60 both go to the same places on J3300.

by gjgibHi again guys. I have this motherboard that won't show display even tho it was doing it yesterday. I think something could've past away in the circuit.
I'd appreciate if anyone who is used to MOBO LCD voltages and circuits could enlighten me since this is the first time I have to deal with it.

by swergHey everyone,
I'm a novice trying to repair my laptop. The LCD screen has an image, but no LED backlight for the image. It also produces an image when connected to an external monitor.
I have found what I believe to be a blown inductor labeled "L4502" and "120 Ohm" in the schematics (zoomed in image, blue arrow to blown component). I have included an image of the general area of the mobo and an excerpt from the schematics as well.
I am having trouble selecting a replacement component, which I believe to be a 120 Ohm ferrite bead, from the components...Today, 03:39 PM -

by mrsithHi fellow lifesavers.
I have a Samsung washer-dryer WD80N645OOW which died mid-cycle. No response to anything, completely dead.
Checked the socket, the plug fuse, all good. Took it out to examine the boards.
There is a relay clicking on the mainboard. Upon applying power, I can see a diode flashing on inverter board, after a while a diode on main board lits up for a split second, then I can hear a relay clicking. This repeats a few times, then everything dies completely.
I've been trying to examine the main board, but it's a bit difficult becuse...4 PhotosToday, 09:11 AM

I started troubleshooting this Razer Blade 15 laptop DA560 motgerboard a while back, due to some shorted 19v, 5v, 1v power rails. I fixed some of components and think 19v rail is good, 5v rail is good, 3v is better but not all way i think, and 1v is still bad. At this point the diode reading on these rails are 19v - 0.032v , 5v - 0.167v, 3 - 0.63v and 1v - 0.005v .
When the rails when down, I went down different rabbit holes and seeing chips getting pretty warm on thermal but not blazing hot. Yet there were not any caps or any small components getting blazing hot. Example is EC chip,...1 PhotoToday, 11:35 AM -

by OmronI have a 5W lamp on 12Volts battery, I want it to be half as bright, so I will add a resistor. What resistor should I supply?
A = W = 5 = 0.416mA
_ _
V 12
R = V = 12 = 28.84 Ohms (R) this is resistance of lamp
_ _____
I 0.416
So I will add one resistor 28.84 Ohms
I will have 28.84 + 28.84 = 57.6 Ohms
Or 28.84 + 28.84 = 14.42 Ohms
I don't know if it will work in series or in parallel
voltage would be 6V and amp current mA = 0.208mA We divide everything by two
W= V * I...06-04-2024, 01:58 AM
