by matkHello, I have a question about electricity. Suppose I'm well insulated from ground and neutral, and the live wire of mains comes in touch with a wound in my finger, will this potential interfere with body voltages, hearth for example, or it will only go to its circuit return path ?
Thanks!05-23-2024, 02:12 PM -

by earwig_nickHello all,
I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54) with motherboard EH5VF LA-501P with a short on the power rail.
I'm just learning board level diagnostic, but here is what I've found so far.
I injected 1.5v to one of the positive leads on the DC jack connector (PJP101) and read about 1.4a to ground.
I felt around for heat and found the MOSFET at PQB12 is rippin hot!
when i pulled the MOSFET from the board the short went away. In my mind it was a faulty MOSFET.
Ordered a replacement and got it installed only to find it gets very hot again and the short returns....05-23-2024, 06:07 PM -

- Tried to unplug radio and plug it back in into power,
- Tried to reset radio by holding reset button key for 5,10,30 seconds while in power and without power, plugging it back in, it wouldn't work.
- Tried to hold 3,6 while turning it back on and then pressing 1,2...-

by BogeskiHello to all, I'm new here on this forum, so I have T-con board that makes me crazy, so when I start to diagnose the problem, on first MAX9591 was overheating so I tried with 1 flat cable from panel and half picture was working and IC was fine, so I take out T-Con I check every capacitor, diode, mosfet, everything was good, so I continue to right board from the panel, I check everything, and I didn't find any issues, so I connected again, I started the Tv with both flats, and TV worked, I tried every settings in menu and was working fine for more than 30min, so I turned off , I take Out again...Today, 12:55 AM

on the board, with the multimeter I noticed there is a short to ground. as the red wire has 0 ohm to ground.
with infrared camera, this chip (photo circled) would heat up if I push power button on.
but I can't find any replacement or online info of this chip.
on the chip you can see it has a label GM2H, I have another good working display with the same chip but it has label GM2C

by cheeky2I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.
My issue: No backlight.
Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT
The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.
So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

by AimbitThe actual port is clean, and it is taking a consistent 930 mA, no dips.
Just did a battery replacement, the iPad did not work before either -- plugging in previously did a charging loop but went up to 930mA and down to 0, cycling, but it wasn't beeping at all. That battery is VERY dead, measured something like 24mV or something. So perhaps my replacement battery just has enough charge to make the beep, and the actual problem persists. Could this be a PMIC issue? It is not a Tristar on these but rather an Apple branded IC I believe.
Not that I suspect this matters, but...Yesterday, 06:02 PM -
