The issue with these sets is the TV gets stuck in standby until you power cycle the TV. This is down to firmware which there is a German site which has the download links for all these Toshiba sets.
If you searched on this site you would have found it!

I don't have the model now it was sold on ebay a while back! I cannot see what you say would work as I did remove the black plastic cover and did try to pull apart the unit, it didn't budge under a lot of pressure. The only way I would see it working was if you were to push a metal or strong pin into the hole possibly releasing the red plastic somehow. Too late to try now.

A bit of common sense would be to download the service manual for the TV! A quick google will show a free download for it here https://elektrotanya.com/samsung_un40es6100_un46es6100_un55es6100_un60es6100f_es6500f_un46es6600f_un55es6600f_un40es6820f_un46es6820f_55es6820f_chassis_u76a.pdf/download.html
Then start reading and checking for voltages on your power supply, ensuring that you are fully aware of the risks when working with mains voltages! If you are not then leave it to someone who does.https://A bit of common sense would ...A quick google

Good news I have managed to track down a high ESR Samxon 10uF 50V capacitor that was causing the issues
Picture attached for location of the high ESR capacitor around 2.2ohms, replaced with a Panasonc FR capacitor. I guess it was cooked with the heat inside this small unit especially as there was dust build up by the fan furthering the build up of heat inside the unit. I did also notice another 2.2uF 50V capacitor that did also have a slightly high ESR (circled in red), however I didn't have a suitable Panasonic capacitor to replace it with. The yellow circled capacitors were the ones...

Dell XPS One 2720 AIO Liteon PS-3261-9DA not starting up immediately
I suspect the issue is with the power supply Liteon PS-3261-9DA as apparently they are notorious for issues with them. Has anyone else had similar issues where the PC tries to boot up a few times before finally booting up. Now I have opened up the PSU which shows no signs of any capacitors failing. I did remove one capacitor that looked to have an issue however with my peak meter it showed it was within the limits with good very low esr values which was somewhat disappointing!
I am going to put a Meter leads across the outputs to see how stable they are when it occurs to see what they are...Last edited by cheeky2; 11-20-2024, 06:56 AM.

Looking for working dump for a PROSCAN PLEDED4022-UK with mainboard TP.SIS231.PT851 with screen V390HJ5-XCPE1 or a working dump for the same screen and main board.
I have looked on the web without any success for the dump of the Proscan TV.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you learn how to use google translate to put your language into English! This is an English language forum. Don't expect answers if you write in Italian....

Let me explain a little further the switches have when this fault occurs has a resistance within the switch ( call it leakage). The solution that I have found you need to physically clean contacts I use wet and dry sand paper first inside the switch (replace the switches if you wish however finding suitable dimensions for them can be tricky to find). As good measure I then use electrical contact cleaner inside the switch. Reassemble the switch and on to the next one. All of them must be done to prevent any reoccurrences.
I have found it is very tricky to determine which of the switches...

It's certainly not static electricity that Davi.p suggests! It is not a touch sensitive board but a switch button board BN41-00989A As Lotas has stated it's the buttons leaking continuity. I have done this repair on this board many times before. You can carefully disassemble the buttons and clean them with WD40 or equivalent Contact Cleaner spray, I usually clean the contacts with wet and dry inside the switch and on the round contact inside. Be patient taking apart all of the contact switches with a small flat bladed screwdriver. If your not capable replace the BN41-00989A or just remove it from...

I agree the yellow plastic part needs to come apart from the main red part. I have looked carefully inside the battery compartment to see if there are any screws that would allow removal, unfortunately nothing obvious as you can see!
I have also removed the black cap on the front of the unit to see if there was any screws under that. No joy there either.
The whole you refer to is only a plastic cutout to allow the black probe to be stored inside as pictured in the last couple of images. There are no screw holes there either or blanking pieces!...Last edited by cheeky2; 06-05-2024, 03:47 AM.

Anyone know how to take apart a Fluke T100 Voltage Tester without damaging it?
See attached picture. I have a Fluke T100 Voltage Tester that the resistance and diode measurement isn't working (it's not the batteries (as I have already checked them and put decent Duracell 1.5V AAA batteries inside it).
I have looked on the web for any information and on youtube without any results for this model.
There are no screws visible or anything obvious. So I am hoping someone here has the solution to take it apart?
The only way I can see is underneath the yellow rubber handle area, however I don't wish to damage it if it isn't the case!...

The panel is a VES480UNDL-2D-N01 which really I guess is the critical bit as I have found a cheap main board in Uk less than £10 delivered, but I would need the panel file for the 17MB110 which I assume is different from the 17MB97? Do you have that panel file available for this main board? Out of interest what's the exceptions generally as it would be useful to know for future reference so I can prevent making any mistakes in future? I guess they would be down to wireless card used (which I possibly may have to change for the original main boards config), the infra red connection and the remote...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...Last edited by cheeky2; 05-25-2024, 03:35 AM.
