    Question about electricity

Hello, I have a question about electricity. Suppose I'm well insulated from ground and neutral, and the live wire of mains comes in touch with a wound in my finger, will this potential interfere with body voltages, hearth for example, or it will only go to its circuit return path ?

    Thanks!

you will feel it - if thats what your asking - your body is an antenna to ground through the air.
now if you where in africa or arizona during the summer with very dry air it will be less.
but in european humidity your gonna feel it and i can tell you from multiple experiences that 230v with hit hard!

The question is can electricity go through return paths that don't belong to its circuit ?
For example if your body is completely insulated from air, ground, neutral, etc. of that circuit and the live wire comes in contact with an open wound, will the 230v potential interfere with the many potential difference that are in the body or it will not ?

if your in a vacume and therefore already dead then it will not do anything,
but as i said - air is a resistive return path to ground.

thats why lightning discharges static to the ground - the air conducts.

          You should ask yourself,
is worth the risk to work on live wires?
          just remember accident can happen
i did in the past where I replaced light switches without turning the breaker off
just one switch 2 wires right? Why not

i know I was saving few minutes
but then I realize I am taking a risk where the live wire could touch the metal frame or something making short or me accidentally zap myself

          I look this way
if I am 100% I can do it safely then I might try
like only 1 switch, plastic box

if it is more than 1 switch in the box
          then no
          too many risk

It's best to not rely on your body being "completely insulated". That is a myth. And who works with only one hand?

I saw a low power Tesla coil running, sparks and streamers arcing over to a person who is "completely isolated" - they are off the floor on a plastic platform. This is not DC but low current high frequency AC with the high voltage causing air to break down, this is what an arc is.
Seems all OK, just fun right?

The HV arc to the guy from the TC also jumped from him to the mains power transformer and he got electrocuted.
Once air is breaking down in an arc, it is low resistance so he got mains across him arm-arm despite being on a insulated platform and the HV being low current. The arc acted like a wire.

Tesla 13.7 body sculpt repair problem, need help with finding the thyristor marking.
              by loko
              Hello everyone.
I have a device that is used to shape the human body muscels and burns fat. Works on the principle of electromagnetic impulses. One thyristor in side is shorted which has only this unknown mark on it ( QC230301 ). I can't find any information about it anywhere on the Internet. I tried to replace that thyristor with one of 1.6kv 800A and after 5min. of work he has burned out again, which means that he is probably weak. There is no schematic diagram on the internet, but that didn't suprise me because all the transistors and chips that are on the boards have their markings...

              NO BODY MARKING Diode
              by dennis_elx33
              Hello Everyone,
I have 1 diode on a circuit that I suspected to be faulty because the forward and reverse bias has a voltage drop reading.
While compared to the reading of another diode from the next channel it won't read at reverse bias.
Now the problem is; it does not have any body marking.
So I tried to sketch the diagram and found out that it is connected to the base and collector of the C3632 transistor.
What do you think is this diode?
Can you please suggest what part number can i use to replace this faulty diode instead?

              Hoping that you...

              MP6908GJ MP6908 Datasheet
              by Document Archive
The MP6908 MP6908GJ is a low-drop diode emulator IC that, when combined with an external switch, replaces Schottky diodes in high-efficiency flyback converters. The MP6908 regulates the forward drop of an external synchronous rectifier (SR) MOSFET to about 40mV, which switches off once the voltage becomes negative.

The MP6908 MP6908GJ can generate its own supply voltage for battery charging applications with potential low output voltage, and at short circuit output condition, or for high-side SR configuration. Programmable ringing detection circuitry prevents the MP6908 from turning...

HP Envy 13-BA1565na BIOS for potential fix!
              by themosttogain
Bit of a weird one here...I have this HP Envy which has an odd fault. Basically the power button doesn't turn the device on. However, immediately after a BIOS reset, it will turn on from battery once, and it'll continue to tun on from mains quite happily, first time every time for a few hours (but will not power on from battery at all). After a few hours, the button will become increasingly unresponsive again even with mains connected. I've replaced the battery, even though there were no signs of a battery problem, and the issue remains. From reading another post on here, the experts were...
