Hello,
I have a MacBook Air 13 inches 2014.
I have set a EFI password and I can't remember it : now I want to reinstall macOS and I can't because the MacBook is asking for the password.
I know how to remove the password with a usb programmer.
I plug the usb programmer to the motherboard and to my pc with usb, I read the EFI and I save it to a file.
Then I have to find this value in the file : $SVS because it indicate where is the password.
But I can't find the value.

there is no reaction, it hangs at 20 V/0A. There was a little corrosion in the u7650 area. Replacing the u7000 did not help. Tell me, what else could it be? PPBUS_G3H=12.9V

hi
having problem with samsung ua55es6800
tv had backlight on, sound working - responds to the remote control but no image.
check tcon board - had 12v in but no other voltages present.
when disconnected left ribbon cable - got back voltages and half image with lines and distorsion
when leaving only left side connected - again no voltages and no image.
put a tape on all (cd?! lines) on the left ribbon cable and got complete but distorted image (horizontal lines).
kept trying to block less pins on the left ribbon cable...Today, 05:00 AM -
When plugged in (no battery installed), the battery light on the motherboard lights up and then turn off. When powering on, the same and light and the power button also light up in a white color but no output on the display. It stayed like that for a few seconds before shutting down. I also seem to ruined a connector that connects to the WLAN, 2 USB and audio board, the same board also have a melted 2062A IC. I will post pictures in the reply section05-11-2024, 04:40 AM

I picked up a faulty bench PSU that was being discarded as was faulty. So the internal SMPS has some faults, bad thermistor, Schottky rectifier and Mosfets all blown and I have replacement parts on way. fingers crossed 😀
I am looking for a set of diagrams for the power supply. has EST v1.15 along with 2022 date. Not sure if the EST refers to Edwards or some other manufacturer.

Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to modify a BIOS file to accept a legacy disk when it does not have the capability, I had this problem on a Optiplex 3060 that were donated to my job where we use non-uefi linux distros, we cannot use uefi since is a "big machine" with this systems beign the center of all of it, we can't change the distro now, maybe make some changes, but if I can modify the BIOS it would be awesome.Yesterday, 10:31 AM

Hello, I have a customer who updated his bios on his GT72-6QD Dominator G series, He flashed the newest bios (even tho it said first upgrade to v10) But now the device powers on, the fans are turning but nothing more, no image. I tried to download the BIOS from the website and flash that using CH341A Black (GD25B64CISG chip) but still nothing, can someone provide me with the correct bios to flash on the device? Hey guys, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ikb NM-B241 rev:1.0.
After turning it on, it runs for a few seconds then shuts off completely. No screen, no fan. After shutdown, a red light comes on and off fast. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for days now. It's never been opened up; the Lenovo sticker is still intact.
(!)I tried with a different BIOS battery, without any ribbon cables, on battery power, without the keyboard, and it's always the same.

I have a KD-65X9005A Sony 4k LED TV. For a few weeks I've got this problem where I turn on the TV and within a few seconds the TV starts getting darker until it shuts itself off and I get the 4 blinking error code. Thanks for reading. Based on the interesting fact that the vertical lines issue don't seem to effect the menus whatsoever but rather everything around the menu regardless of video is shown, I'm trying to set mine whether the issue is the main board or the t-con board.
Again what's baffling is that the menu is not effected whatsoever. However, any other video displayed regardless of inputs or when no inputs exist exhibits the vertical lines and seem to effect black areas only.
