can you please say if this is a problem with weak\burned leds?
if yes, can you please if in this model the panel is glued to the frame?

Supermicro Server Power Distributor board
Hello everyone
working on a supermicro server PDB
i attach a photo of how it looks
it suddenly died and the symptom is when pressing power on it sends a brief dc voltage and imediatly shuts down.
fan spins briefly and stops.
the power supply connected to it is working tested for sure (tested on another good pdb)
cannot find a short anywhere on the board, capacitors visually seem to be ok.
standby voltage is present (5v) also vdd to the power ic chip is present (also 5v).
any help would be apreciatted!

but can't find any port that is boot looping
the only thing that is diffrent between the others is that the main port starts off with 0.00a 5v
after a few seconds it climbs also to 0.25-24a

sorry for the late response
main port is drawing 0.00a 5v for around 10 seconds and than jumps to 0.24-0.25a steady.
all other 3 ports once connected starting on 0.01 to 0.11 and immediatly to 0.24-0.25a steady. (total around a 1second to get to this amp draw)....Leave a comment:

working on a 820-01041 a1990 macbook pro
the machine is only drawing 5v on usb c ports, and around 0.24a
one board measured 5v and 0.00a but later when i connected again it's went to 0.24a
ppbus is 12.27v-12.29v
is not recognized on apple configurator on dfu or recovery
can't seem to find a short anywhere on board but with the power adapter connected (without battery)
i notice the t2 chip is getting a little hot..
pp1v8_slps2r present and doesnt seems to be shorted..
any ideas? how can... -
samsung ua55es6800 - no image
hi
having problem with samsung ua55es6800
tv had backlight on, sound working - responds to the remote control but no image.
check tcon board - had 12v in but no other voltages present.
when disconnected left ribbon cable - got back voltages and half image with lines and distorsion
when leaving only left side connected - again no voltages and no image.
put a tape on all (cd?! lines) on the left ribbon cable and got complete but distorted image (horizontal lines).
kept trying to block less pins on the left ribbon cable... -
r5530 and u5530 is missing
the boards never been touched, all original and look like it's missing by design.
here are some attached photos of it..
also missing those components on a good working board
the low resistance on these rails could be the cause of the issue - PP3V3_G3S_X and PP3V3_GS3_WLAN ?
what is connecting between the two?
if yes, how would you recommend to try and resolve it?

update - tried everything possible related to software - update, safe boot etc... and still seem like wifi is only working out of OS and not in OS regardless of the version..
could the problem be the low resistance on both these rails - PP3V3_G3S_X and PP3V3_GS3_WLAN ?
if yes, would love for an idea on how to diagnose it and find the cause..

when i inject to PP3V3_G3S_X i see the voltage also on the other line.
r5530 seem to be missing... also missing on other boards from the same model as well.

RRAM and SMC reset didn't work. already tried..
the load switch put out 3.3v constant on both these lines, so looks to be enabled..
the wifi only works before the OS is loading... on the black screen with earth logo
for example, before recovery, or before diagnostic screen..
in the OS it detects the networks, but won't connect keep saying - connection failed

you are absolutely right, so it's either i was readng the meter wrong or something changed after voltage injection.
now i was reading 52ohm on PP3V3_G3S_X and PP3V3_GS3_WLAN
so i ended up soldering "new" U8215 from donor board (which was getting extremely hot at the beginning when nothing worked)
now getting 3.3v on both rails
now, it looks like a tough nut to crack because now WIFI WORKS before recovery screen (on black screen with earth logo),
but not in the recovery itself... i ended up installing with LAN cable which also...Leave a comment:

i injected 1v to PP3V3_G3S_X and it only draws 0.02amp
nothing seem to get warm... got it up to 1.5v around 0.04amp draw.. nothing seem to get hot...

by that i mean - after i pulled out of the board U8215 - this area is no longer getting warm..
also all pins under U8215 seems to be ok and not shorted other than PP3V3_G3S_X ofcourse..

Macbook a2141 - logicboard 820-01700 no wifi\bt

working on a2141 macbook, board number 820-01700 which has no wifi\bt and also no connection with LAN cable.
initial visual inspection the board looks good no visible corrosion or damage.
i found that PP3V3_G3S_X is shorted to ground (around 1.5ohm short)
and also PP3V3_GS3_WLAN i shorted to ground (same ohm reading, around 1.5ohm).
the board is working but no WIFI\BT as i mentioned.
with the usb c cable connected for measurement i noticed U8215 i getting EXTREMELY HOT
so i pulled it out figuring it might be causing the... -
did you manage to sort this out? could be a bad wifi connection?

with the fuse removed isl side should be more than 12.3v? i will check that again.. (t2 in on isl side, and not system side?)
i think ssd is fine since i can't find short in this area (on 2.5v rail for example)
i will measure u9580 and post...
i have another machine to try dfu... you suggest to put the fuses back and try DFU?

and around 37ohm and climbing to 150\200\300+ohm between PPVCC_S0_CPU and ppbus downstream pad. (with fuse removed ofcourse)...
