    Denon AVR 1912 no sound

    Hello,
As a foreword I'm relatively novice with component level audio gear repair. My amplifier stopped producing sound and I currently have no funds to buy a new one so I need any help to repair it. I know "no sound" is one of the most common problem but there were other symptoms so some of you seasoned repairman might able to pinpoint the stuff I have to check. I did download the service manual from manualslib the "no sound checklist" is a bit intimidating.

So i bought it working. First symptom: speaker protection relays on the audio board were clicking really fast. Issue stopped on its own. Then I kept hearing relay clicks during listening then the issue went away. Then once I turned it on then the speaker protector relays were stuck in triggered position and did not release so when I turned on/off my speakers were popping. Then the issue went away. Now it stopped producing sound from any input. I still hear the clicks when it turns on tho. I started to play with volume and one time I had sound for a few seconds but only on full volume then it went silent and is silent ever since.

For whatever reason I thought it my be the relays fault (can it be?), I took out the speaker board with the relays on it but they look pristine. I tried injecting with 8 volts and all firmly clicked. I have some similar spare relays if you guys say so I can replace them. I found some flux marks on the SMPS. Not sure if it is factory or previous repair. No obvious signs of burn marks anywhere. Fuses ok. No shorts, the amp is not turning off in any kind of protection mode.

I would be helpful if you could give me a few tips on what to check first. I have a basic scope in my shop I use for arduino PWMs if I need to probe it. Some photos attached on what I found inside.

At least you have a manual that will help.

Do you have the flashing green led upon connection to power?

Well.. I have replaced the relays and it is working. I have no idea if this was the issue tho as all the relays are tested working with multimeter when I injected a bit of voltage.
The service manual had a bold text on every second page about some ribbon connector to dont forget to check connectivity. I have soaked it with contact spray and have brushed it with a toothbrush.

So maybe it was a contact issue afterall but since I did multiple things we will never know.

Denon AVR-X3600H No sound even to pre outs in direct analog mode. Help please!
        by FuzzyOwl
Hi, I have a Denon AVR-X3600H I'm trying to repair. I have no electronics repair experience but I have a multimeter, service manual and a will to fix it (https://device.report/m/d5de8c00e617...f63147aba9.pdf)

Everything seems to work except for no sound even through the pre outs. However I will get sound using Zone 2 pre outs.

Only digital symptom I can tell is it will soft lock when in the Speakers/Test Tone menu and be unable to adjust +/- db during the test tone.

I've followed the trouble shooting guide, audio check...

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
        by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

        Good day all

My first post on the forum, tried to find a introduction page, but couldnt. So thank you for having me here.

After spending most of the past 2 days Googling and watching Youtube videos, I came across the forum, in the hopes that I could get some assistance with the above mentioned amplifier. As I do most days, I switched the unit on yesterday morning, got the relay clicks as per normal, but no sound from any of the speakers. Tried "Audio Direct' and the same issues there. In a panic state, I did a factory reset, without any luck. Then disconnected all...

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
        by LEECH666
        Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
        by Christos Tsiligiannis
        Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
