samsung ua55es6800 - no image

having problem with samsung ua55es6800

tv had backlight on, sound working - responds to the remote control but no image.

check tcon board - had 12v in but no other voltages present.
when disconnected left ribbon cable - got back voltages and half image with lines and distorsion

when leaving only left side connected - again no voltages and no image.

put a tape on all (cd?! lines) on the left ribbon cable and got complete but distorted image (horizontal lines).

kept trying to block less pins on the left ribbon cable to try and get a good image

now, suprisingly - getting complete rainbow vertical lines! also with no pins blocked on left ribbon
both ribbons connected i get voltages but all the time random rainbow vertical lines (also when each half panel is connected, same for both left and right side)

bad tcon? or did i bypassed the protection causing it fry due to a bad panel?

how can i verify that the panel is toast if that is really the case?

Hi, the panel has got vertical side cof, if i recall, it is highly recommended that you set apart the screen bezels and inspect with magnifier each side cof, especially back green side, check if there is a gap between the enameled green area and the screen joint.. further details in private.. wait patiently, you can also try to apply hot air to those cof and watch if it improves, only for testing purpose, not a fix.. bye
