    Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (1724) SEMM remove from BIOS/UEFI dump
    by GeryMix
    Hello everyone!
    I have a surface pro 4 (1724) with corporate management set up (in this case, I understand it's called SEMM). In the operating system installer (Pro version), after connecting to Wi-Fi, it asks me to enter the company system. If I don't sign in, it won't let me continue (similar to enterprise enrollment on chromebooks). This can be avoided if I install the Home version instead of Pro, and then upgrade to the pro version, but this is not very elegant. I would like the machine to be as it should be in factory condition. That's why I would like someone to remove this restriction...

    JVC LT-43C888 (manufactured by Vestel) does not start after trying factory reset, details below
    by masterm
    TV: JVC LT-43C888 (purchased in 2018). This is a smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, Freeview and other applications via 'Viewd' app store

    Problem with TV:
    - Netflix stopped working so i tried to do factory reset from the TV menu.
    - I confirmed on-screen but the factory reset did not happen even. It did not take me to 'first-time installation' screen as mentioned in the manual.
    - After waiting for some time, the TV went into a boot loop.
    - JVC logo comes on the screen and LED light flashes for some seconds, then it reboots again and the same thing happens

    Apple iPad Pro 12,9" 4Gen no charging, but working fine
    by waterchill
    Hey folks, I have this iPad Pro 12,9" 4Gen A2232 here with no charging issue. The main fault was a crossed pins / faulty USB charging port due a bad cable.

    So I started to replace this parts:

    - replaced usb-c port -> no result
    - replaced battery -> no result
    - replaced usb-c chip CD3217B12A -> no result
    - replaced 343S00326 -> no result
    - replaced 343S00327 -> no result
    - replaced 343S00328 -> no result

    I have no more ideas for this issue. There is no short on the whole board, and the iPad is working fine...

    Fortinet 50E Slowing down internet throughput
    by mon2
    Hello. Coming to you from the laptop forum. Have a client with the Fortinet 50E that has 320 Mbps as internet input speed but only 20 Mbps output on each and every downstream port (using FAST.COM to benchmark).

    Reseller is stating the Fortinet is 'worn out' which does not sound logical at all unless the flash memory is 'worn out'. They, of course, want to sell another + onsite installation fees.

    Can anyone share feedback on this unit? What can cause this sluggish behavior. From our knowledge, this device is snooping on the traffic to halt viruses / hack attacks, etc....

    Hello everyone, I have a Lenove Thinkpad X201 tablet that always worked fine, when I turned it on yesterday the power and hd leds lit up for a moment and then slowly went out.
    Since then it doesn't start up anymore, nothing at all, no LEDs, no fan, etc. with or without battery and with or without dock, the power supply is ok, I have measured it.

    Hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.

    Identifying backlight resistors, power supply is a BN44-00852
    by unimatrix93
    Dear forum, I would like to ask some help identifying the backlight circuits resistors to limit the ampere to the backlight leds.
    The power supply is a BN44-00852 and I want to decrease the backlight to increase the lifetime of the LEDs.
    The TV is pretty much always on, used for CCTV cameras.

    I suspecting R9838 -> R9841 resistors but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance!
