The BIOS may be wrong, im not first who flashed it. That means i dont have original file. But SN is from bottom cover....

Just from my experience... Only problem is ceramic capacitors going to short. Without boardview is hard to find out witch it is on schematics. But mostly these are 25 Volt capacitors on main power line +19V with high capacity and are the biggest ones.
There are known issues with tantalum capacitors in MacBooks going bad without short, but this is rare.Leave a comment:

From my work on tehese boards i foud out there is a different BIOS+EC depending on Windows. If NTB was sold with W8, you need different BIOS as for W7 board.

I think current is another thing to look for, but for this purpose its easy, just look for same size. You cant use bigger (will not fit), or smaller coil. Check if it is shorted, and if yes, its propably working, even if it misses a bit. I would try to change the IC.Leave a comment:

A bit more info. Board is NM-A331 and i have flashed some BIOS files i found here, nothing works.
Maybe its EC problem, but my RT809F with PEB1 is not working.
